Thank you!! Had the frame since the end of February. Everything else was a waiting game. 2012 SRAM Red is hot! Crisp shifting all the time, every time. Definitely superior to the older Red. Now let's see how it does on reliability. The biggest changes for me are the front derailleur (no rub), brakes (indexed tire/rim width adjustment) and switching from a GPX to a BB30 crankset. As for the frame, I do have to get used to her somewhat. She's a stiff ride and a little fidgety but not harsh by any means.

Very sexy!!!
I too like the subtle blue accents.

Here is my Litespeed Liege - this was the top of the line frame back in 1999 - Been a great bike for all those years

Just finished this build. Will probably tweak some things here and there, slam the stem and cut the steerer tube.

Excuse the door, it was a hasty photo op. Unfortunately the frame is an '08 which uses a crazy 32.4mm seatpost diameter. I am going to get a 27.2 shim for it, and replace the post. 3T was the obvious first choice, but I'm thinking my long term plan might involve an ENVE seatpost and fork.

Just have something Custom build like SA. For the money, it's probably worth not having to worry what will fit and what won't.

Don't mind me trying to spend your money, however I think SA set the precedence for Cervelo's and seating setups.

Thanks for the tip. Can you provide some info on SA? Google gets me a million links to South African businesses.

Soloist Assassin or something along the lines of that. Thats his username on this forum. He posts a lot in the bike on a diet thread. He had like a custom seatpost and saddle thing that weighed like next to nothing custom made, and it looks sexy

Lol, sorry. I shouldn't have abbreviated his Username like that. Most of us auto associate SA so Soloist on these threads. I know he had it done by some kid or dude in Slovenia or something like that.

I'm currently researching Cervelos right now, even though my 1st build is not finished yet.

This is too funny, the whole South African thing, and all. Yep, I had Jure Berk of Berk Composites build me a custom combo. He could make you a round combo for that R3 that would be silly light. Mine was 181g for the aero post using a original Cervelo post that was modified, but he has made 120g round combos. I noticed you are using an SLR variant as well. His combo is just as comfy as my SLR Kit Carbonio Flow, believe it or not. BTW your R3 is hot, and I don't say that often about white bikes. Speaking of which LC's TT bike is looking pretty good too with those new Hed hoops on there. Back to the R3, I don't usually like gum walls either, but they look classy on the white with those black labeled Enves.

Jure might be too busy making stuff for Team Sky to help us mortals now. ;) Woot - kid hit the big time.

I know right. Gonna be cool seeing Wiggins riding Jure's work later this year. It's funny Pinarellos are such pigs, they needed to contract Jure, just to get them down to the UCI limit.

Thanks! The Berk round combos sound awesome. I will certainly investigate that route in the future.
