Had the bike 6 months now, mini-upgrade session. Replaced seatpost and stem to perfect fit, thomson elite + x2. Also snagged a couple nice real CF cages cheap. I am digging the white cages much more than the old black ones.

Any recommendations on pedals?

Understand the feeling. My recommendation is to get clipless pedals and if you stop often, that just means you'll learn quickly. The only other option is to never go clipless, which isn't an option, imo. You'll fall once or twice, everyone does, and it will hurt your ego more than your body and you'll learn and be an old experienced fogey in no time.

Fire truck is cool, but unfortunately makes for a SUPER busy background that makes it hard to make out the bike's details.

sloar 04-22-13 10:16 AM

thats ok, just thought it would be a cool pic, wish i had my camera though. used my iphone. i posted my bike before and didnt get any opinions so i thought the truck would help.

gc3 04-22-13 10:55 AM

hot fire truck...just okay bike

slowride454 04-22-13 11:35 AM

Pinarello makes some gorgeous bikes, in my opinion. I love their very metallic paints on the Dogma's. And I like the squiggle in the fork and rear. Not crazy about white bikes, though, for some reason. It's almost a hot, imo. And looks like a fireman's bike! :thumb:

sloar 04-22-13 03:40 PM

I fell in love with the dogmas but could never afford one. I was shopping for a new bike and found this one. I got it for a very low price, and in my opinion makes it hot for me. It wasn't my top choice but I couldn't pass up the good deal.

bianchi10 04-22-13 04:37 PM

I used to like Pinarello's when I first started riding. Now opinions have changed and I just think they are Fugly. Thats just my personal opinion on the aesthetics though, please dont mistake that I think they are bad bikes. Could be worse, it could be a Trek lol

sloar 04-22-13 04:41 PM

no hard feelings here. the look isnt for everyone. like i said it wasnt my first choice, but the ride is very nice.

What are some clipless pedals and shoes to go with it that you guys recommend? Nothing too expensive:D

Just based on the actual bike and ignoring that huge stem rise and presentation, I would say not. That top tube is rather ugly.

If it makes you happy, that's great, but as it's set up, it's pretty much defeating the aerodynamic advantage of a road bike. If I'm correct in assuming that you're new to road cycling, keep at it and, as your core strength and flexibility increases, experiment with lower bar positions. The bike has potential, but at this point it's a 'not.'

Dang, didn't know how bad it was LOL...I am new to road biking, should I just take this to a shop so they can adjust it properly? So basically just lower the front bar? Sorry, EXTREME newbie here.
