Just about done with this so i decided to post it "as is". A few more things are left to do and a few parts still have to come in. http://i1285.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8c633172.jpg

To each their own I guess. I prefer it with the white tape/saddle. Don't get me wrong, the black tape doesn't look bad, it just makes it look "average." My bike is all black so I'm kinda stuck with a black tape/saddle, but if I could I would change the colors.

Yeah no problem, I appreciate hearing your opinion. I like white/white as well but I guess I want a change? It's been sitting like that for almost a year now since I got it so I think I just want to mix it up a bit.

Just bought this, new old stock from 2011, future classic :)http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/v...ps826c360d.jpg

I guess you either love or you hate it haha. (Also moved up the stem since I took that picture)

this is just my personal thoughts here:

koodos on trying something new with the bartape, but I dont think it goes well with it. looks like you could use a zero setback seatpost in a bad way.

I say, get a -6 degree stem, slam it down. white saddle, white bartape, then cut that periscope (steering tube) and this would be pretty nice.

ACK! Another seat too far forward. Where the heck are you guys getting fit at? Pink bar tape = NOT!

Saddle is in its optimal position for bike fit.

Thanks bianchi for the opinion. The saddle is not really slammed, and if I get a zero-setback it looks like it'd be too far forward.

I think the 17 degree, 100mm Thomson looks weird and is definitely too short for me. So I have a Ritchey C260 on the way :D And I'll probably just put black tape on for now.

zero set back wouldn't be to far forward, it would put the clamp in the dead middle of your saddle instead of clamping at the back of the rails. Having rails clamped in the very back can put stress on the rails which can increase the chances of them breaking. Not saying it WILL happen, but it can increase the chances.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. I've got a set of reynolds 46 in the mail, will post back once those are up and running.

If one overlooks the predominant logos, this Cannondale is set up very nice and should improve with the aero look wheels...

Just pieced this one together. It weighs 18 lbs. exactly.

thats a great view of the back of your saddle. C'mon man, been around since 2008, almost 1000 posts and you're posting a picture of your bike in this thread like that?

coppercook62 07-25-13 10:31 PM

Your classic

Fox Farm 07-26-13 01:09 AM

So I clicked on the photo of the back of that bike and got to see the rest of the images. The saddle is pointed up in the nose (ouch!) and the stem is also pointing up. Both are set up such that I think you should go get a proper fitting for the bike.

http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=331162Following your link to your photobucket I am going to say not. The brooks saddle doesn't work with the frame. The handle bars and shifters look to be in an odd position. I don't really care for the the wavy forks and seat stays. Is that a reflector on the seat post?

I believe brooks saddles are supposed angled up slightly. At least that's what I've read a million time in the Fixed Gear Forum.

Nice bike! What bottle cages are those?

They sure are. They also dont go on carbon fiber bikes?! Why talk about how much your bike weighs when you could drop a full pound by changing saddles? Its hard for me to comment because this looks terrible. I get it if you are a brooks fan, but this is an aesthetics based thread.

Woo, I was right. But yeah, classic leather saddles belong on classic steel bikes in my opinion.

you forgot to remove your water bottle. Not

cerealkilla 07-26-13 02:05 PM

LOL - not. I'm tired of all the shots with computers (Cateye Stealth 50) and bottles removed, thought tis time for a nu'trend. Floor tiles are still the same :) Seats been repositioned, slightly back, relevelled, and the stems been lowered by 10mm.

jdip 07-26-13 02:20 PM

LOL nvm then. I guess it was just the lighting, since the colors of the tiles are really different in your two pics:
