Thanks, it's now completely finished

Added the Enve 1.0 fork, Cane Creek AER Headset and AER spacers, used lighter Deda Trafornatto bar tape and cut 1cm off the bars , these changes drop it by another 90 grams.

I'll ride it for a while and then cut the fork to lower the front end by 10mm and get rid of a spacer.

This. I don't think it's possible to make a better proportioned frame in that size. It doesn't look like a compromise - it looks good.

It needs new wheels badly....thinking either ZIPP 303s or Enve 3.4 clinchers

Agreed, some deep dish clinchers would look hot on that.

System six is hot. Tall bikes and level top tubes look like real bicycles to this 6'4" C&V cheapskate.

Looks more like a quarter pounder!

SpeshulEd 01-21-14 01:56 PM

Burger bike is awesome. I'm getting one of those bags for my bike, it'll be a hoot for club rides and centuries.

Anybody want to see my re/custom-painted Parlee Z5 SLi again? Haven't posted in H-r-N since the repaint and stuff. But I do recall that the Tall head tube option as Parlee designed it doesn't appeal to everyone. Guess I'm going to have to buy a new bike soon to satisfy the rest of y'all, instead of finishing paying for my daughter's college. Most important - I removed the chromatic aberration from the previous pics....also notice that the DC Department of Sanitation leaves stuff strewn all over the place after picking up the garbage...

The Bike Forums Staging Standards require a white or off white garage door. In the absence of the aforementioned, upholding of the standards to the best of one's ability would require walking down the alley and righting all the neighboors upset bins.

SpeshulEd 01-21-14 07:29 PM

Parlee is haught! Gonna have to get studded tires to ride down that alley though.

bianchi10 01-21-14 07:53 PM

Hot. When you gonna put on the black Zipp logos?

Could be any day, now that there's nothing but snow on the ground and colder temps in the air...time on my hands

NathanC 01-21-14 09:11 PM

Parlee is fantastic. 202s are the perfect depth for that bike.

shoota 01-21-14 09:52 PM

LOL @ the burger bag.

plpete 01-22-14 06:38 AM

Parlee is HOT no doubt but the longer I look at it I wonder why Parlee and some other manufacturers choose to have the Di2 cable enter on the down tube when you could have it higher up, on the head tube or behind the stem for example. Much cleaner and still can be routed to account for a turned wheel. It's an electronic cable that is flexible that surly can be routed better than hanging on the side.

I think if the entrance hole is put there, it can still be used if it's ever going to be switched to mechanical with a grommet change. I think that's how most newer frames are being done, at least.

that's my understanding as well.
