slowride454 09-09-13 11:15 AM

and nobody is on him about the FSA crankset, and improperly positioned stems?. Flat black and deep carbon wheels do cover lots of sins.

That's hot no matter how you stage it. You probably have enough room to break more of the rules too.

johnnytheboy 09-09-13 04:22 PM

thanks everyone!
didn't know we were judging the "staging" of the photo as hot or not....thought we were judging the bikes on here! ;)

That is hotness. Is that black / gold to a tribute to the Black Lightning they did in the late 80's? That was one of the first bikes I ever coveted.

That's the way it should be, but the nitpickers need something to pick.

The crankset is the only thing that sticks out here and even then, its not off by a large margin. How exactly is his stem positioned improperly?

orangejulio87 09-09-13 06:34 PM

I think he meant the valve stems.

bianchi10 09-09-13 06:40 PM

Oh I see. Since the stickers are so dark in the photo, I didn't even see that the wheels had stickers on them. I usually only pay attention to the valve stems when the wheels has white noticeable stickers where you can the wheels haven't been staged. Good eye though

johnnytheboy 09-09-13 07:11 PM

the wheels don't have decals.
and my valve stems are lined up with the tire labels.
so......?

SpeshulEd 09-09-13 08:39 PM

I think they're talking about the ghosting effect from the stickers that used to be there.

And it's typical to put the valves at 6pm.

Being nitpicky is what HrN is all about.

PatrickGSR94 09-10-13 09:52 AM

Just goes to show you that a truly HOT bike need not worry about staging nonsense. When people nitpick about staging it probably means the bike is only marginally hot or maybe lukewarm. :)
