2013 Wilier Gran Turismo
Pretty bike to start with... hope I didn't ruin it by making some changes to the wheels, the cables, the brakes, the seat/seat post, the chain rings, and the bars.

thanks for finding and sharing those. though the shape is similar, it is not as close to what I'm looking for. AND, the big no go on those is 253g. whatever bar I go with, I will stay sub 200g. the claimed weight on the FSA Nano light bar is 185g for 42cm bars

Never been a fan of the "Hell Bent" post, would rather see a post with off set if that helps solve a fit issue. The bike speaks SRAM but I see a Shimano crank. Would look much nicer with a SRAM crank. Straight forks also bug me and the bars look too "old skool". My guess is the front end is a bit sketchy in corners? All this from a die-hard C'dale owner too.:o
Cheers IME Dura Ace crank >>>> sram cranks The post is a little ugly but it is there for fit reasons Also I prefer classic bend bars so I guess that theyre gonna stay - altough I have used ergonovas before and like the feel so maybe ill swap some on just to try something different again cornering is fine -Tmonk |
Guru is HOT!
And I really like the Wilier. |

Lol, I haven't pulled a trigger on anything yet. Wont do an FSA stem or seatpost. Too heavy. IF, I do the FSA bars, it will be very difficult for me to have mismatched equiptment. Unfortunately, Ritchey doesn't make a bar that has the short and shallow compact bar that FSA or Zipp makes and this is the shape of bar that I'm looking for.
http://ritcheylogic.com/road/bars/wc...-road-bar.html Yes, over 200g, but they do make the shape. BTW, have you tried the FSA compact shape? I find it a bit too compact, I don't feel like my back angle even changes when moving from hoods to drops. My 3T Ergosum have just a few mm more reach and drop but the difference between the various positions feels much more pronounced. Not to say thay FSA ergo shape is bad, but I think it would be a good idea to try and compare to other manufacturers' compact bars. |
What I mean by not same shape, is they are not as compact. Yes I know ritchey makes a non ergo bar available bit I don't like the shape. Thanks for the info. I will be looking into the 3T option as well as I have an offer for a straight trade for one.

I think the Wilier brand is in general kind of hottish...although for some reason the mental image of a hooker tarted up for a night's work comes to mind (for me)...

From a "hot" perspective, it is never the -17 stem that is wrong. A -17 degree stem is the best looking stem for a road bike. If a -17 stem isn't parallel with your top tube it is the frame that's wrong.
For some reason that fellow wants a sloping top tube and stem angled to the sky? W T F over? Give me nice flat stem with minimal spacers. Just like they used to be before every fred who ever saw Lance ride the Tour bought himself a Cannondale. |
