Re: Starley - I like the set-up and all of the bits that are hanging off of the frame.... but the frame doesn't do it for me, for some reason that I can't quite put my finger on.

Build on a budget...a 1200 build. 7800, 303's.... 16 lb, 8 ounces with the zipps. A real race bike.

I like it. But, IMO compact handlebars would look better than the ergo bars.

Clanier 02-08-14 04:38 PM

Agreed, need to find a good set.

Ritchey WCS Classic.

And thanks everyone for the kind comments on the R1.

Zipp Contour SL short/shallow
Ritchey Evocurve
FSA Kforce compact
3Tergonova's

Cut that tower above your stem and new bars and I would dig it.

This bike is "jacked up"... ;)

Matching 7800 crankset would set this bike up nicely.
Why does it seem like the seat post is crooked? Curvy setback?

Seriously tho... This is one of my favorite colors C-dale put out for the CAAD10.

sloar 02-08-14 07:19 PM

excuse the poor set up. i just got the bike and the weather is to bad to take it outside.

Just finished rebuilding this to fit my wife, she has 40cm bars and cross brakes and platform pedals and likes to sit more upright on the bike

Thats the day I pulled it out of the box. 14" of snow and -5. I tried to ride it around the shop. Potential is going to have to be good enough. Only change I'm doing is the seat and seatpost position.

The frame actually has the pink t-mobile bands, this latest photo shows it better,

It has 9000 brakes, FD and compact cranks, RD and shifters are 7900, the wheelsets she uses are RZR's and the C35's for wet days

Nice bike for your wife, certainly much nicer than my wife's bike, and not to be rude, but not hot for the purposes of this thread.

RedLeg 02-09-14 07:55 AM

Kleng.....dura ace 7900 shifter with 9000 front derailleur......please tell us more. How is it working out? Does it improve shifting? Any modifications needed?

Other than the pedals, & the cross brakes, I dont see any other flaws IMO.
Theres many other bike that are considered hot that have more demerits than this one.

I gave him a break on those 2 cause its his wifes bike.
When a members wifes bike in nicer than mine, I have no other choice but to give it a hot.;)
