Yes. Round tubing is also much cheaper, and being thicker (as is evidenced by the higher weight) is easier to weld, and easier to cut to be welded. I was very careful on my choice of frame. The tubing it's made of is pretty special. Round tubing is also more flexable, and makes for a more flexable frame. You don't believe the frame, that's fine. This probably isn't the best place to discuss it.

Well, the thread is for bikes that are either Hot (o)r Not. So it's perfectly fine to post a Not Hot bike, you just have to be ready for someone to point out that fact.

since when does a bike have to be exotic or top of the line to be worthy of this thread? hell, the title is "hot or NOT" not "only post a pic if your bike is 100% new top shelf technology"

Incorrect....The thread is Hot r Not. The thread is to get peoples opinion on wether or not a bike is hot or not. If a bike is ugly it is our job to say so on this thread....

I don't memorize bikes; scrolled a few pages to find your and the white one, can find them. Generally such builds are budget builds, thus look cheap or just off somehow.

other than maybe the decals what makes a scattante frame ugly or different than any other aluminun frame? i agree its not the best, or best looking frame, but they are far from ugly.

the geometry just doesn't lend itself to being anything special. that said, this is a hot or not thread, and if it's not special, why would anyone think it's hot?

btw you asked what was wrong... imo (and this is just my point of view) it starts with the obscene spoke count on the wheels, the overabundance of stack spacers with such a negatively angled stem, the spd pedals, and of course, the godawful decals. also mismatched components (bontrager seatpost, truvativ stem).

This is quite subjective, as most of the "high end boy racer frames" have ridiculously disgusting decals, but the majority of people find them "hot". Just sayin'
