By the way, saw a few of those today on the Gran Fondo New York and it struck me - other bikes may be hotter when studied, but that has to be one of the best looking bikes as encountered the road.

That's beautiful! Especially with those Cosmics on there; yikes.

Hand me down frame and bar tape from a buddy I've done a lot of work for. Partsbin wheels, stem post and saddle, 6800 from PBK (the three week wait was AWESOME) and some ebay cantis. Have yet to ride it in anger but first impressions are incredibly positive, both about the frame and the group. I do have a feeling that the stem will be scaled down and maybe swapped to a 0-6 degree instead of the 130mm, 10 degree jobbie I have on there right now.

Hand-me-down bar tape is called "sloppy seconds"

50 mile Lizard skins vs $35 for two rolls? I can handle sloppy seconds.

All I've got is the quill adapter. Other than that, it's about perfect.

That said, other than a one-off winter bicycles stem, I have yet to find a 1" quill 31.8 clamp stem, so I can't hate on it THAT much.

Yeah, I ran it with the original Cinelli 1A that was on the bike when I got it 20 years ago or so, but I was having issues with the fit. I went with the quill adapter setup so that I could easily swap stems of different length til the fit was dialed. I guess it didn't bother me as much as I thought it would, so it stayed on.

I'm hamstrung by silver... and a Thomson didn't look right. I can't explain why. I know that Deda made a silver stem a while back, but I had to go with what i had. Bars and seatpost are Ritchey, also...

What's wrong with a Ritchey stem? And that one is made for classic bikes. It's apart of Ritchey's new Classic Series.

I no longer own this one (tragic loss), and it's certainly not like some other bikes here. But any attractiveness?

It had Mavic Ksyriums btw. Not the Ovals.

Second post. :)
Just want to see what others think of my bike. I know a lot of you dislike colored tires ;)
Flame suit on!

She sure is zesty and sexy to me. :giver::love:

P.S. How do I make that image larger in the text? It is a larger image.

dtrain 05-21-15 09:45 AM

I like the frame. Not sure about the saddle slide or the blue Mavic stickers (x12)?
