Hey, I'm an old man and I need all the help I can get.
And a light bike does make a difference. The Emonda is 14# and my CX bike is 20# and can feel it when climbing. http://glenn-ring.com/emonda/cannondalesuperx.jpg |

Oh I bet, if I were looking for a gravel/trail bike, I would definitely look at that.

A modern road bike needs clipless pedals ... otherwise hot.

Funny thing, though; it's as if this composition was missing something - a rider perhaps? |

Nooooo. I could overlook the toe clips, but the bulgy tubes are just too weird (an illusion, or actual morphology?); random, capricious red decals on the bars and stem; rims designed to serve as billboard more than anything else.... No. But at least it has the right gruppo, and the computer mount is nice.
Funny thing, though; it's as if this composition was missing something - a rider perhaps? Points taken.... Toe clips because that's all I know after all these years, but I am shopping for a set of Speedplays to finally make the jump to clipless. Tubes are indeed bulgy...I thought they looked odd at first, but they have grown on me and I like that they are different. Agree on the red decals, and may remove them down the line. Sorry, but I have always lusted after a set of these rims....agree to disagree. Gruppo makes me smile...never had anything this high up the Campagnolo line before. I'll try one more time, but will need to roll the clock back a bit compared to the Ciocc: http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/v...ps8oma0qg5.jpg Steve |

Great bike but the wheels are awful. I have the same bike, I recommend 30/32 Spesh Roubaix Pro tubeless for the road. They are lighter than 28mm Gatorskins.

Nice bike, but the ugliest brake levers ever.

This one is hotter. Just realized, though - looks like you're jamming the front tire in that expansion joint; be careful!
Meanwhile, not being built for speed, I'm wondering if the geometry/set-up might be a little more racy than it needs to be.

Nice bikes, but I know there are more than just Specialized.
