Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm pretty sure if I had a 1" "tear" in my scrote, I'd go ahead and see the doctor TODAY (even if I had to go to the godforsaken ER)!!! Congrats on the HTFU, though!

If I go to the ER, I'll have to sit there for 8 hours waiting to be seen. I'd rather lie here in (relative) comfort.

You haven't seen a doctor yet??

What would it take to make you go? Tearing a ballbag is about as bad as it gets, friend.

I can understand not wanting to go that toilet that is the modern day ER...but come on, we're talking about the BOYS...They should move you the front of the line--those friggin heart attack patients are merely getting whats comin' to 'em...You are an innocent victim of a tragic accident.

Traumatic injuries receive top priority. And this my friend, is extremely traumatic.

I've gone to the ER once in my life and they didn't even let me sit down before putting me through. I was in because I thought my heart was on the fritz though(which should not be possible at my age). For something like this, you would be insane to not go though.

I hate to say this happened to me on the fat tire bike once, when I got catapulted over the bars but didn't quite clear. I went to the ER, and left with my nuts in a sling. No stitches though.

Yes, I rode. I was only about a mile from home (doing an out and back) when it happened. It didn't hurt all that much at first - adrenaline I guess - I was going pretty hard. It wasn't until I got off the bike and started walking that reality set in.

You've got an inch long HOLE in your ballsack?! Like, one of your nuts could just fall out at any moment?

Yes, cuz they just float around in nut juice in your ball sack.

You're doing it incorrectly...

There are countless ways to injure oneself. Sadly there doesn't appear to be any lesson from your mishap other than make sure your nuts are clear of the seat when attempting to sit on said seat. Common sense if you ask me.

Dude! No!

I usually find the whole BF 'wah wah wah! See a doctor!' perspective mildly irritating, but in this situation I have to agree that you should have this sorted immediately.

Even just the potential for infection should be enough to get you there straight away. (can you imagine having all that infected??

What saddle were you using? I used to have a Fizik Arione that was sufficiently pointy at the front to catch my shorts quite frequently - I was fairly concerned about it ripping the shorts... The tearing of other things hadn't occurred to me.
