Hello again all. Long time no speak!

Having moved to Spain 6 years ago and having a house in the North West of the Alicante Province I am now working in Madrid. After this years summer holidays I decided to cycle back to our apartment in Madrid from our Alicante home over 2 days with a total distance of 400km. The photo below was my first sighting of Madrid with around 35km to go.

Heckofa commute! 124 miles, one-way! Looking at that pic I'd be happy with the separation of motorized traffic lanes from the divided path next door! Does that cover the whole distance or do you have to ride shoulders part of the way?

No, it's a 15km stretch over a hill. The rest of the way from a town called Tobarra was 300km on the N301 trunk road. But very wide, good shoulder on there and in Spain motorists and truckers are generally very cyclist aware.

Indeed. Snyder Road looking east, stopped about ~0.25 east of from the intersection with Sabino Canyon Road.

Nice, I recognize what I think are the Rincons in the background on the right.

I have some family there and I like to go out for "El Tour" most years. A fun, fast ride.

The drivers in Spain are the best for cyclists (that I've ever encountered).

What about dangerous blind corner senses? That wooden mailbox structure makes it hard to hit the ditch if a vehicle is over the line coming the other way.
