'80's are perfect for riding around here too! Preferably when it's not blowing anywhere near 15+. mph as well!

Today may very well have been the last day for me to gain some outdoor miles. It touched 55° about the time I got my act toghether & started out for an afternoon's workout. I was aiming for besting my longest ride this year & everything came together to make it possible, even comfortable! 20.07 miles in 1:32, 1,040' elevation.

Along the way, about the half-way point when I took a break to catch my breath (before that hill ahead) and take this pic:

I have to downshift into 4th when I drive my Subaru up that hill. On my Tarmac I managed to keep mashing in 3rd today, HR I think peaked about 162:

artist drive? it's been a decade or so since riding out there. some fantastic riding but definitely helps to be in shape to handle artist drive, dante's view, daylight pass and towne pass among others. even in meh shape, furnace creek south to bad water and back or north to stovepipe wells and back are so worthy. underrated area for riding in the winter and earlyish spring.

nice! have only done the other side ascent/descent of ca hwy 146 from/to soledad. short and steep but sweet. would like to knock this out one of these days. digger pines!

A little bit of rain thanksgiving week means a little bit of green. Likely won’t last long as it’s been dry since and no rain expected anytime soon.
