Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Almost every ripoff ... er.. I mean body building shop will have it for you, but at hugely inflated prices.

You could do worse than typing cytomax into Google. Phantomcycles has 2kg for $150
[edit] the same stuff OS is USD30 (about AUD50) + shipping

I've actually had really some good results using gatorade powder as a recovery drink!!

I have "some" during my ride, then I gulp a bit down while I'm rolling home.

other than that, that bike shop in Black Rock (John Kennedy) has a bunch of the Enervit stuff

Nup.

Road sprinters are really just those guys brave enough to have a crack and can turn the 11.

Track sprinters are from a different planet. Not human.

Boonen. What a powerhouse!

I'm keen to see if there are any interviews with Mcewan and O'Grady tonight. There wasn't any this morning, but it looked from above like O'Grady held his line and McEwan was trying to squeeze into a gap that wasn't there.

I have to say though fellas, 3 hrs of flat stages IS boring. I think I'm with Hitchy - might stay up and watch some of the key mountain stages but otherwise I'll probably stick to the 5pm Fox or 6pm SBS highlights.

Robbie was on with Kockie and Berretta on 7 this morning. Sez all he was trying to do was unlock elbows with Stu...feels harshly done by (as he would).

We had a "Visitor" at the BMX track a few months ago. Some kid on a freestyle bike wanted to try racing. He crashed on the 3rd straight (where I crashed, along with everyone else at one time or another) but he wasn't as lucky as most. His hip was doing something really ugly, and I think he was in shock. They took his borrowed helmet off and loaded him into the ambulance. Downer, big time.

What channel is this bike racing you boys speak of?

Signed up for the Alpine Classic Audax thingie just now. Hopefully they'll let me enter. Is that the thing Hitchy keeps on claiming makes him take turns worse than a bad trip?
