Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

170mm is fine. Is the chainset the Ultegra 6600 (2005 Ultegra 10s group)?

Except maybe Tim Webster.
Timmy webster, what a joke...I remember the time he sent all Collingwood supporters into a frenzy, when he announced......"And up next on sports tonight, Collingwood captain Nathan buckley resigns"......it was supposed to be 're-signs'....LOL

THe inner one says 9S, so it's not looking good. The BB is a 6500. The cranks are marked FC-6500, if that helps. I'm not sure what they were taken off, but it appears to me they were installed and never used. I'm guessing they came off my brother's Giant CRX cross bike.

Bugger. Do you see "Hollowtech" or "Octolink" on the chain-side crank arm?

They're not Hollowtech, but they do take a splined BB, which is included.

No worries here. You'd probably just be paying for the "Ultegra" logo, with no benefit. They'll be on ebay shortly. I may slap the Campy cranks onto my MTB and find a steep hill. I now have 3 seats to choose from for my Cannondale as well.

I try. I'm pretty cranky about the light though. I feel like a dumbass, as it never dawned on me that you were looking for a battery for that new light system. Nightvision, nightstick, whatever.

Nah, seeing if there's anything interesting in the other forums, then it's off to bed.

HAR-HAR-HAR

The AFL normally comes on at the most inopportune times, like when I'm trying to get into Driving Miss Daisy. Don't get me wrong, I love Aussie Rules and have won a couple of B&F trophies playing it but it always conflicts with something else on another channel.

So how was the racing today climbo? A more patient race, first place after grinding the others into the ground after the second climb of Blood Hill?

A bit of sport on https://www.cyclingforums.com/showthr...50#post1866250 is starting to turn ugly.

This guy has boxed himself into a corner royally. I just gotta werk out how to place the knockout punch. I hate self-righteous pr!cks that appoint themselves as some sort of authority on the forums so they can increase their revenue stream, especially when they don't know as much as they claim to.

did you know Ric Stern was a "pro" before you took him on?

I don't get it; he asks for an apology, then you're banned? What happened?

did you get a private message/warning?

"pro" or not, he can still be a tool - he used to make a point of making disagreements on here as well. He hsa some good knowledge, that i have no doubt, but anythign that doesnt fit his particular realm of oppinion is ridiculed, which for me is the wrong way to go around it.

Thanks for your support fellas, 'speshally you Expat! +

Anyway, Steve from cyclingforums has written to me saying he knows nothing of any blackban. I must admit I thought it a bit odd. Maybe just a coincidental stuff up. I'll have to wait and see...
