True. I'm sooooooo over, "What wheels should I get?" "Which is better, six13, Vortex or C-50?" "Should I ride with undies under my shorts?" "Help with these wheels."
Obviously the search function is broken

Plenty of SS MTB'ers seem to like the 180 MTB cranks but they cannot spin fast RPM's up a hill, it's all about leverage there.

I think it's very 'pro staus quo' to assume everyone should fit neatly into the only three sizes of cranks that the major manufacturers have conveniently decided to rationalise for manufacture. It's impossible or ludicrous to think 3 sizes fit everyone.....what's next, 5 size frames fit everyone?

I think there might be a 'theortical' crank length to leg (upper or lower of both, I have no clues), but that goes out the window with cadence because at lower cadences longer crank arms provide more leverage, but may not be better at higher RPMs.
Cranks that automatically change length with cadence anyone?

Anyway, the bottom line is that I've almost been convinced by an article that argues that our attempts at bike aerodynamics are a joke and should be ignored by 99.9% of us, so perhaps I'm not the right person to ask about these things!

Lugged bike with Open Pros and 32 cross 3 non aero spokes anyone?

I don't move much from the A.T. anymore. I can't even find anything useful in training and nutrition anymore. Everyone's too busy slagging everyone else off. Those damned Aussies started that!

Always. Davenport boxers under my Bayside Banditos shorts (no bibs). Nice and bunchable.
I also use a helmet mirror and ride in Essendon footy socks and Shimano mountain bike shoes.

Sorry mate....mine are the brown and green ones that look more like desert boots than cycling shoes. I had to get some SPD's coz they weren't compatible with my Keywins.

I'll tell you why it's nothing but a big toss to pronounce foreign names using foreign accents:
We only hear people putting on the "fancy" accents from southern and western Europen regions.
We never hear people like Orsati using a Chinese accent when discussing an Asian sportsperson.
Nor do we hear people like Orsatti using a an Indian accent when reading out a subcontinent batting line-up.
And we rarely hear Eastern European accents because they're not as "sexy" as the French, Spanish, Italian or Greek accents.
We never hear the French or other Europeans putting on an American accent to say "Lance Armstrong", or an Aussie accent to say "Robbie McEwan"
IT IS INCORRECT AND A BIG PRETENTIOUS TOSS

(hmmm, "pretentious toss", is that a tautology?)

Help! I've got some 170mm Campy Daytona square taper cranks with chainrings. Any idea that they're worth? I also have a carbon fibre seat post in 27.2, which I've most seen on MTBs. Is that a common road size too?

Thanks Berny. I've got a nice selection of parts, but don't know how much to ask for them. They go on those funny skinny tire bikes. If the 170mm Ultegras are too short for Munchie, they'll go on ebay. Looks like they're new, with a BB. I worry that my brother's cast-offs are nicer than some of the stuff I buy. The carbon post wasn't good enough for him?
