Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Any idea where I can buy Swiss stainless spokes at less than $1 a go?

If I can't get them that cheap, you can't.

Here's the Avanti Blade range on their website - https://www.avantibikes.com/bikes.asp?t=4

Nothing there with a Nexus hub though. Maybe try using the contact page on the Avanti web site, they seem to be pretty responsive.

I am just waiting for the phone call from Avanti to tell me I won the Corsa Team roadie in the TDF competition (came 1st equal with about 400 other people.) Yuck green colour, but with carbon bits and pieces, Airplane tubing and Dura Ace who'd complain

Allan Davis just missed out winning the HEW Classic Finished 3rd...fastest "sprinter" in the group so it was a shame to see him miss out, especially cause he is a fellow QLDer

Well, he seemed to be enjoying himself anyway It must have been a pleasant change for him to be tromping through the bush and hooning around instead of attending accidents/arguing with idiots/doing paperwerk

Bikes: Thylacines...only Thylacines.

I'm guessing it doesn't involve a female cop taking off her hat, unfurling her blonde locks and throwing her hat....

....or maybe it does?

Ok, got a question for NSw riders near Newcastle. I'm looking for an Electra dealer, and any other shops that carry cruiser/chopper style bikes. I've tried Hadley's and Civic Bikes, but would like to know if anyone has any other suggestions. Cheers.

What's an Electra? Not a Harley Electra Glide?

Er, no, not just yet. We're saving the HD for wedding anniversary number 5. In the meantime, we want some beach cruisers.

Actually, that's the one we looked at for the missus. They're really quite deluxe bikes. Choosing one for me will be much more difficult.

Other than the fact that they're in the US, and out of stock, thanks for that.
