I also made the mistake of watching Italy v Scotland. both countries should be stripped of IRB status. Awful.

I heard that it was an atrocious game, even the crowd was pissed off apparently! I watched the Ireland V England game which was a good game, go Ireland! I am very happy to see that Wales beat France as well. So it is Wales v Ireland in Cardiff to determine the triple crown and also the 6 nations by the looks of it! I would be happy with either team winning that.

The big North v South game should be a corker, Just hope that I can find somewhere to watch it as I am away on the Saturday night (actually as I type this I realise it is in England so will be a reply for me anyway).

Was there much disappointment with Melbourne losing out over Pert for the Super 14?

Yeah well in the warm up games and also last weekend Rogers was on the ball, lets hope he can stay that way. He very much appears to be a big factor to how they perform.

ed073 02-28-05 10:28 PM

Yeah...the crowd started booing during a pointless kicking duel. Pretty funny, really.

Disappointment? There's only one football code here....barely caused a ripple.

dbuckingham144 02-28-05 10:35 PM

Well, I thought that based on the attendance at the World Cup games and the other test matches that have been played there that there must be a growing support base for it. AFL is definitely the main one of course.

Melburnians will go to anything.

Rowan 02-28-05 10:38 PM

In danger of going back to Foo, guys. Bike content, remember?

Yeah, save that extra 120 grams for a mere $4000

Are you a Kiwi Ed?

You seem to know a lot about rugby for a Mexican.

What do you expect from a team with a koala as an emblem.

They'll still beat NSW though - like they have done every year.

I'm insulted.

That's like asking a Canadian what part of America they're from.

Is that the one with Bettini on the front?

Or an American if they're from Canada... :D

Times change! Lets see how the Tah's are going after round three, then I will comment more ;)

It is a bit of a problem that they have though, I will grant that!

dbuckingham144 02-28-05 11:52 PM

Expat, did you put your name down for Dirt Works? I gave it some thought then thought better of it. A bit to hard I think, need to spend some more time in the saddle in the bush first I think.

Brian 02-28-05 11:57 PM

We wanted to do it on the tandem, but they have no class for us, so we're not going.

dbuckingham144 03-01-05 12:04 AM

I am very interested to see how a tandem goes down a hill, for some reason I cannot picture it.

Hey expat, you wife has her seat set at a very unusual angle. It doesn't look healthy at all. It could only really suit someone who has their feet up all the time

Brian 03-01-05 03:19 AM

We took that photo after we put the new seat on, but before it was adjusted. I really need to take another one. It's a bit of a project, as the fork has a certain amount of sag, so she has to ride a bit before the final adjustments are made.

Last Saturday afternoon, I was sitting on my lawn chair, drinking beer
and watching my wife mow the lawn.
The old bat from next door was so upset at this that she came over And
shouted..." you should be hung!"
I took a slug from my stubby, wiped the cold foam from my lips, lifted
my darkened sunglasses, stared directly at this nosey woman and calmly
replied, "I am, that's why she cuts the grass."
After a few days I felt really bad so I went and bought my wife a
ride-on mower to show my sensitive side.
I am so proud of the deal I got, I have attached a picture.

And you guys call me insensitive

Brian 03-01-05 04:11 AM

Thanks for the chuckle. Of course, that's a US creation, judging by the LHD Ford Ranger parked curbside (Courier parked kerbside, if you need a translation) with what looks like a California plate.
