I see Cofidis has nabbed another Aussie to do some slave work for them. Chris Sutton joins Stu and Matt for this year's season. If you want to know what his form is like you can check him out at the WTC in LA next week.

What's the go with Ebay and pushies? Always read about you basids pushing up the price of crap and scaming. JUst bought some golf crapola off ebay and ended up very pleased with the whole deal. I take it in my quest for a mountainbike, if I look for something off ebay, Expats breatheren will rip me off? Sell me something with a snapped frame and square wheels for $8k? Guess it's a bit hard to check the state of something you're buying until you've done your dough?

Did I mention I got my BMX through ebay? But I had a friend pick it up in Penrith and pay cash. Secure payment and the right of inspection. On the subject of ebay, I talked to my dad today, and my brother kindly donated a bunch of gear to my cause. It's funny to hear my dad try to describe the parts: Him: "Some kind of arms, with gears?" Me: "Dad, does it say 'Ultegra'". Him: "Yeah, and there's some kind of hub thing too". Me: "Um, dad, does it have threads and splines?" Ultegra crankset with BB maybe? It goes on and on. A hubset, some shifters, bars, stems, seats/seatposts. Most of it is coming surface mail, so it may be several weeks, but worth the wait. |
