Oi dave, I could be up for it....I'll confirm a little closer to the date. we could do the famous Saturday morning beach Rd session. more cyclists out there on a saturdee than there is people in tassie! Hitchy |
Oi you blokes,
what is this the farkin NSW thread nowadays...geez....well i s'pose you blokes will just have to do for giving me some sympathy. The farkin 'coaching nazi' had 'steep hills' on my program tonight. I've had these before...but tonight was a little different.....he came too!.....be afraid, be very afraid!...any session when the coach lobs is bad news, especially if it's supposed to be a hard one. Surfice to say, my lunch came back to visit after about an hour of efforts up to 185HR...(max HR for me is 186 & I've seen that about twice in my life!). Well, I'm to shattered to even eat some dinner now...contemplating another spew as I type!...& i've been finished an hour!.....the coaching nazi goes to me after. "you're going ok at the moment, but you need to push yourself a bit harder in these sessions".......I shoulda spewed on him! Hitchy |

I could sympathise, but I got the same treatment on Saturday. Then raced Sunday. And this week is my hard week  So you'd better just choke back that vomit and push yourself a little bit harder :roflmao: |

Anyway munchie, as this is your hard week, I dont expect to see you for the coffee ride on Saturday or lap of Calga tomorrow arvo? I got a wedding on saturday night so Sunday will be a write off. Still if you're racing a might venture out with my hangover and throw tacks on the road ;) P |

I reckon you can't just warm up at 70% to 80%, for how ever long, then go "BANG": 95-100% effort...BLAH.......SPEW!! You gotta do a couple of 85s and 90s before you go to max efforts. but who really cares?:p |
Ahhh, hitchy, hitchy, hitchy. Your stardom is legendary. Two posts, and the response from your fans is overwhelming.
So when is Mr Saxa going to restore your privileges so you can restore this (new sticky) thread with some respectability. It's not as though some have tried to inject some excitement into it, but you really do seem to be the "glue" that keeps it all together!! And now I feel like spewing for all that gratuitous sucking up.... who gives a stuff about some nazi coach who drives you to vomitsville. |

Hitchy, that's insurrection! Munchie has dissed you, too (by inference because I jacked you up). Am I the only one supporting... oh forget it. Back to terrorising whatever other thread and forums I can. |

Its on in Adelaide (wine, cheese, bradwurst anyone?) in October, and they have a full complement of cycling events. |
I was into some thinking this morning, and it would appear that this thread flies in the face of Godwin's Law. For those unfamiliar:
The longer an Internet discussion becomes, the more likely it is to disintigrate into a flame involving comparison with Nazis or Hitler. As the thread ages, the probability approaches 1. There is a tradition in many groups that, once this occurs, the thread is considered over, and whomever mentioned the Nazis has automatically lost whatever argument was in progress. Godwin's Law guarantees the existence of an upper bound on thread length. There is also a widely held codocil that any intentional triggering of Godwin's Law (in order to invoke its thread ending effects) will generally be unsuccessful. I contend that Godwin's Law is flawed as it does not deal with threads that have no known topic, purpose, or for that matter interest, and fails to accomodate social groups (eg. aussies) who see flames for what they are and dutifully ignore them for the most part, regardless of whether that occurs through diligence or apathy :) |

Oh it's an organised jaunt? Pretty embarrasing I didn't know it's on considering I work in the same building as the contact person. The road from Trunkey to Georges plains is a real teeth rattler. The way to Rockley mount containing the dirt bit seems like a strange choice as well. Some sharp rocks on that bit of dirt as well. Actually how did you know there was going to be dirt? Didn't say on the website? Shame it finishes in Perthville as well, as the ride from Perthville to Bathurst could be called our "beach road". I'd like to do the long jaunt though, but being a noob, I doubt they'd let me. Have to go have a yarn to Garry. Better keep the tyre pressure up by the sound of it, no pinch flats !! |
Well yeah, saying it's smoother than some of the tar out here isn't saying much. Having a look at my rims the other day. There's all these little hacks around the outside surface, I guess from hitting the big bumps. Amazing I haven't pinch flatted yet. I must be doing something right.
