Harharharhardly :D I can't get on. ;)

It's not like I care that much. I just hate it when leaches like him prey on people who probably can't afford his services by baiting them with substandard snippets of 'information' first. It truly sux. I had always thought that these forums were supposed to be a collective of free information (mixed liberally with misinformation, and the odd bit of satirical commentary from us Aussies where appropriate).

You know what it reminds me of: the classic image of a pedophile with his lolly-filled hand oustretched. That's prolly a bit strong, but that's just the way I see blokes like him. By demanding payment for information he forming a class division within the cycling fraternity. Those that can pay and are willing to pay will benefit. Everyone else becomes "second class", as in less informed. He has no morals whatsoever as far as I can see. He's not happy to help out until he's got 5% of you're income.

End-of-rant, claws retracted.

If you feel the need to give some d!ckhead your money, just go to work and your employer will handle the rest on payday.

A pro what? Product Marketter? Hype Merchant? From what I've seen he has a few studies in his filing cabinet which support his training methods and that's it. It looks like he's found a niche in life churning out stock standard programs that fit his comfort zone. Doesn't have the flexibility or adaptability to be a true coach in my book though. I have to agree with HDTVKSS on the discreditting bit, I even told him so. Mebee that got under his precious skin a bit. :)

Munchie's cranky. Move on. You've already retracted your claws, remember?

How can I get closure (gawd I hate that american crap) when my hands are tied behind my back? I am muzzled, a spirit without a voice on cycling forums. I will not rest until my dribble can once again be shared with my people. :roflmao:

[edit]As for the claws, well yer right: hair trigger.

I'm thinking of dremmelling RIC_STERN onto my handlebars for motivation. ROFLMAO again

Brian 05-08-05 04:38 AM

Have a beer.

This guy has boxed himself into a corner royally. I just gotta werk out how to place the knockout punch. I hate self-righteous pr!cks that appoint themselves as some sort of authority on the forums so they can increase their revenue stream, especially when they don't know as much as they claim to.

I hav'nt a clue what you're on about but good on yer anyway, give him heaps :D

Hadn't seen it, but its gone straight in the favorites, thanks

Crows v Pies - bit like Shimano v Campy - no definitive answer

An enquiry from an occasional "lurker" - commute in Brisbane, lack the time, enthusiasm and, more particularly, the ability to be racing with you guys!

Anyone know of bicycle "re-cyclers" in Sydney?? Have contact with Bicycle Recyclers in Melbourne and Bicycle Revolution in Brisbane but have not been able to find similar in Sydney/NSW.

Specifically I am looking for a Brooks saddle for a Peugeot PX10 variant that I am converting to fixed, believe Brooks to be the original spec - new a bit too rich!

God, I live at that shop -- it's only 3km down the road. :p

I'm going there shortly....as usual

ed073 05-08-05 08:43 PM

Have they got the Giro on the big screen, hot off the RAI Uno satellite???

531Aussie 05-08-05 08:58 PM

what can you tell us about Brett Lancaster?

rockmuncher 05-08-05 08:59 PM

Funny story...one of the last races I did was the Sun Tour support crit around St Kilda Rd, Botanical Gardens in 1998. He won it that year as a 17 yo, I think. Incredible power.

Did you hear Dave Sanders on SEN last night?? Reckons when the Labrats were struggling to find the next generation of elite riders in the mid-90s, he sent the call out to all the regional coaches in Victoria to send in ANY kids that had a bit of talent for ID testing. Two names rose to the top.... Brett Lancaster and Baden Cooke.

That's been on there a while....some photos are OK (photoreporter sirotti and some others) but not their own.

There's a bit of trivia....Shepparton have the last two Aussie Giro stage winners.

ed073 05-08-05 09:16 PM

I notice Re Leone wasn't classified.....

Same reason there's heaps of good country footballers (every second player seems to come from the bush): there's nothin' to do but sport, drink, do burn-outs, shoot and root

ed073 05-08-05 09:22 PM

Tough country roads make tough bike riders. No Beach Rd junk miles out there.

If I stayed at Macca's place in Shep, it's a 160km round trip to a hill. :D

Alt-PrintScrn then paste in MSPaint or some other bitmap editting tool. Although why would you bother with a pink cat?

ed073 05-08-05 09:25 PM

use graham Watson instead.
