I've been using enervit tablets and powder to prevent cramps and restore elecrolytes works great no cramps ride better. I've also used enervitine for calories/energy boost as you would use gels, this stuff is amazing! the firs time I tried it my tongue was in the spokes I took a "shot" and within 2 miles I was attacking!!!! both taste great (citrus flavored) and go down real easy

Yeah, we aren't (as far as I know) any of the "locked" ones on there. Oh well. I'm happy about Gore most of all.

Assos chamois cream. Got some on a group buy for $16 total. Been using for 10 days now. Works great. Some of my 'bumps' in that area have actually receded and I feel great after rides, no chaffing nothing!
If their bibs are half as good as this, I just may well get one.

This really works well. One pull of the trigger and your tire is inflated within seconds. No leakage either. Ultraflate Plus from Innovations. $20ish.

PSIMET wheels:
AWESOME!!!
I had my powertap hub and a new DT Swiss 240 front hub in a custom build with Velocity tubular rims. Hated those rims with the passion. The wheels also felt like bricks. Finally, I broke down and sent the hubs to Psimet for a build into a pair of Gigantex 50mm carbon tubular rims. The build took about 2 weeks longer than previously stated, but we had the holidays in the middle too. In the end, no big deal to me. The price was very reasonable, and the shipment was very well packed. The only major snag with the entire thing was to no fault of psimet. When I got the wheels back, I could not get the powertap hub to be picked up or recognized by the Garmin 705 or the yellow Saris computer. After some phone back and forth with Saris, I had to send them the rear wheel for inspection. They said the problem was that there was moisture in the electronics, so they switched them and calibrated them at no cost to me despite the hub being more than a year old and out of the warranty time. I tried the set, and I am extremely satisfied. Very stiff, very responsible, accelerate very well, and dead on well built. Not to mention they look very very nice.
I was also very happy to find that Rob does not try to sell you more crap you don't need or tries to switch stuff to more expensive and yet unnecessary parts. Cool in my book.
Highly recommend it!!!

Gore tool II jacket
Love it, no regrets getting it.
Pros:
-Was completely dry after 1.5 hours in a blizzard
-Stayed dry during my half hour commute home in rain
-Warm in 20 degrees, but is cool enough to wear around the house. I don't understand how, but it is.
-Looks great
Cons:
-Price, if you don't get a pro deal ($200)
I would definitely recommend this.

If you get the screw on CO2 cartridges, you can loosely screw one in and skip putting the outside part. Makes it smaller, lighter, and more convenient to carry.

I had one of these crumble on me in a less than desirable part of town once. The metal washer that the canister screws into is held in place by a plastic bracket that broke into about three pieces.

Bicycle Outfitters Indy. Bought a BB trainer thru them off their ebay store. Had ''issues'' with the trainer the now discontinued ''ultra'' centri-force. Anyway, a couple of emails to them and all pro lems solved with a replacement Tech fluid trainer on its way. It's nice to have such good service and from 5000 miles away too. Highly recommend them for internet purchase or if you live in their local.

Assos T Roubaix FI Mille 3/4 Knickers
Loved them. Rode in them for the first time today and they are awesome. Great compression, great pad, warming, and awesome fit. After I bought them, I had read reviews of the Assos knee warmers where most people that had them hated them because unlike the leg warmers that seemed to be long enough for the average 9 feet tall man, these were extremely short and too tight. Most reviews said that unless you had chicken legs, they would not fit over the calf at all. It is hard to tell where Assos intends for them to be at, whether that is at mid calf or right above it, as the pictures I have seen have not been very clear. Regardless, these knickers fit just right to me, which is the only review that matters to me.
Ribble Cycles
Suck hard!! I placed an order about 10 days ago. Their site said nothing about being closed for holidays or anything like that. Their prices do seem to be significantly lower than even PBK or wiggle, plus they had paypal payment, which is a huge plus for me as they do not charge a fee for buying in a foreign currency. it was not until 7 days later that I get an email telling me that they cannot mail the Vittoria PitStop, so they want to know if I want the rest of my order. I replied saying yes and asking why it took so long for them to contact me about it holding my order in the meantime. 3 days later they reply again saying that they were closed for the holidays for so many days and were backed up with so many order. That was followed by another email 3 min later telling me they will cancel my order and refund me for the entire order because since I paid with paypal they cannot do partial refunds. Funny, since Wiggle doesn't seem to have an issue doing that. In any case, they won't see an order from me again despite their very attractive prices.

I got mine in October and have been wearing them almost every ride since they. They are great. I'm 5'8" and 143 and a medium is perfect on me. They go below my knee, about halfway to my calf muscle. An essential piece of gear, in my opinion, if you want to ride year round in places where it gets cold/cool. Chamois is incredible, fit is great, and for me they work in a range of temps (40-58 or so).
Hey...does anyone know...do the regular knickers (non thermal) come in colors other than black and with the little zipper? The answer, from what I've dug up, seems no & no.
Ribble:
Yeah, I had a lot of trouble with as well. Hard to make contact with them via email, even set up Skype to get them on the phone, but couldn't get it to work. They did have a Campag groupset for a great price, but very hard to deal with them, they charge shipping, and I feel like I got jerked around on the exchange rate...it changed from the day I placed my order until the day they processed it and I lost around $20.
I won't use them again unless their prices are outstanding. I really don't even cruise their site any longer, though they have nice stuff. Yeah, I stick to PBK and Wiggle.
Tape: I still love Cinelli and use it on a few bikes. I'd had it last for a few years before. But, I haven't tried the Deda cork yet either. But, I am a fan of the Cinelli cork.

I have to do something to justify my lack of performance ability. The whole thing about "it is not about the bike" only applies to pros that make a living out of this and have enough natural talent. For the rest of us amateurs, it is about the bike and it is about looking good!!!
Assos Uno Bibshorts
These were outstanding on their first ride today. I had the previous generation Unos and don't like them much. The pad is not comfortable, but it is not uncomfortable either. They also have no compression at all and the material is very thin. They hardly got used until I started using chamois cream, but since then, they fit so much better for some reason. These new generation bibs are completely different. The material is almost as thick and strong as the previous generation top of the line Assos bib. Same for the level of compression. Fit is a bit different, but in the whole good. The pad is so much better too. I have to say that I can hardly tell a difference between these current generation Unos and the Mille, which is great as the price difference between the 2 is significant. Maybe the Mille have a tiny tiny bit more compression but not by much really, and the pad feels exactly the same. Certainly not enough performance difference to justify the price difference.
Of course, this is a personal opinion based on fit and comfort to ME. YMMV!!!

I've contacted Assos and they said they are the same year model, should be the same.
Anyone else have this issue? The black ones are still nice, but I just don't like putting them on as much - feel like they are inferior.

Star Clothing-
I've never heard of this company before, but from what my roommates have told me, it's a Scandanavian brand, and they make some nice clothes. My new team gave me jerseys, shorts, tights, gloves, hats and a long sleeve, and they're all very nice. I put 130 miles into the chamois the other day, and besides some chafing from not using chamois cream, it was fine. The jerseys fitting is a little weird; tight arms, and baggy stomachs. Otherwise, I like it.
Vredestien TriComp Fortezza clincher tires-
I really like these. I had them a last year as training tires, but I just picked up a pair for racing-only clinchers. I raced them yesterday, and they were very grippy. I'm very happy so far. Now it's time to take them off, put on my training tires and go ride.

Haven't read the entire thread so if I'm repeating...
Picked up the Nashbar L'Orange floor pump and am quite happy. My decade + old Blackburn is finally showing it's age and a few attempts to replace caused much more drama than buying a floor pump should.
Good grip on valves, easily read guage, moves alot of air. So far so good.

I made a fairly major purchase from Ribble last month with absolutely no problems. Re Assos kit from another thread:
Assos Luftschutz jacket (white), Roubaix F1 Mille Bibknickers and Intermediate Evo long sleeve jersey (white).
I'm 6' 0.5" tall and currently 169 lbs. I bought XL in everything for the length. Bulk wise, I'm probably a L in lower half of my body and a M in the chest, and I'm always in-between sizes in height. I've found that longer is usually better, as long as it's not bulky.
These 3 pieces work fairly brilliantly together on an early spring day in the 50's under bluebird skies.
Luftschutz - gossamer light, wonderful garment. Looking forward to using it in various conditions (fog, light rain, increasing temps). It packs extremely small.
Bibs - adequate air infiltration protection and still feels like a second layer of skin. I've been using PI bibs (which I really like), and the Assos are much lighter but still get the job done. In lower 40's, they start out feeling a little too light. They've got a Roubaix fabric on legs and center of crotch, but around crotch is very light fabric that doesn't provide much wind resistance. The benefit is a feeling of very little constriction in the area where your legs are pumping up and down, and good ventilation.
Intermediate Evo LS jersey : Winner or the bunch (if you like LS jerseys). Great combination of lightness and air blocking. Full zipper works great. The chest area has a silver windbloc insert that really works.
I also purchased the F1 Uno and Mille shorts. I'm not real impressed with the F1's at this point but they didn't cost that much. Haven't worn the Milles yet. F1 Uno S5 - $127; F1 Mille S5 - $168; Uno SS Jersey - $103.
Update: Got in a couple of rides in the Mille shorts this weekend, a little over 100 mi. altogether. They work fine - virtually unnoticeable during and after the rides, which is what you look for. Even though I'm probably missing a little compression by going to the XL in everything, the length is perfect. The Uno SS jersey worked really well. The detail of the zipper fitting, and ease of engagement and use is first rate. The back pockets are a bit large (saggy) but when you start stuffing arm/leg warmers and the Luftschutz in there mid-ride, the volume is appreciated.

Very Very nice. The fit is great and works amazingly well. Not very costly either. It gives a lot of options for dressing in different temperature ranges without having to use either one very heavy jacket or multiple layers. It does shelter cold so much more than other vests I've tried in the past despite being completely open on the back.

Campagnolo Hyperon Wheelset
These wheels simply rock my world. I bought a set of hardly used ones from someone in another forum. They came in as advertised, and at bout 1/3 of the original retail price, which in my opinion is the biggest downfall of these wheels. They simply accelerate well, feel strong and stiff, and yet are very comfortable. I have heard form some people in the past that every bike has a set of wheels that simply works best with it in terms of the best combo of comfort, acceleration, weight, stiffness, etc. I thought that was simply crap until today. My favorite wheels had been the Lightweight, but these are right up there too. They gave my LOOK 595 Ultra a feeling I had only experienced with the Nimble FLY wheels I had (to a lower degree thought).
Highly recommend them. However, I still think the biggest sore point to them is the retail price. Even at serious discount from places in the UK with free shipping and their extra 15% off in addition to their low price, their retail price is very hard to swallow.

Very, very nice jersey. It fits a tiny it more fitted on me than similar size (L) race fit jerseys of other brands like Castelli and CapoForma. Breathes very nicely and it does not seem to get saturated with sweat/water so easily. Either that or it evaporates it much quicker. The red color in it is a bit more bright than the pictures show, which is actually much nicer than the picture shows.
The only downside I found to it is that the "zipper handle" is metal and it rattles a bit. I wished it was either coated in rubber or made out of plastic.

Such a nice jersey. Same characteristics as the one above with the exception that the fit is a bit more relaxed, yet not loose. It fits between the one above and the CapoForma in same size. Perfect fit actually. I had used it a few times in slightly cooler weather than today, so I was waiting for it to be worn in warm weather before giving a review of it. Again, the color and graphics are so much nicer than the picture shows too. Between the one above and the 3 of these I got, I think I set for jerseys for the next couple of years!!

I've been running Michelin Pro 3's with standard tubes on my Ksryium SSC SL's. They've been fine, and I've liked them. When the rear recently wore through, I replaced the Michelins with Continental Grand Prix 4000S tires and Michelin AirComp Ultra Light tubes. Wow! What a difference! I put them on my Scott Addict R3 today, rolled down the drive, and figured it would take some riding before, or if, I noticed any difference. Within about 3 pedal strokes, the increase in suppleness was very evident. The improvement was quite welcome on the local chip seal that makes up most of my rides.
I was very careful talc-ing the tubes and installing the tubes and tires. I was going to try some of the latex tubes, but based on the feel of the ultra lite butyls, I'll stick with these for now.
BTW, the Pro 3's wore through the tread in the middle of a 100 mi. ride with over 6K ft. of climbing. I was a little nervous on the downhills after I noticed that I was getting wear spots down to the casing.

I'm still riding a set of Conti Ultrasports that I originally put on my Cervelo P2C as a temporary backstop until my GP4000s came in the mail. I know they're slightly heavier, but honestly, the difference isn't big enough for me to get rid of those tires, and they also haven't flatted on me for the past few months. More than surprised with how well this cheap ($20 at the LBS!) tire works, even for racing guys like me.
