Practice, hmmm ....

Practice, hmmm ....
I was riding my Tarmac today and minding my own business. Suddenly I hear "Jersey under your bibs" in rather command tone. So I look around and see that fella with shaved legs, in skinsuit and on a nice Time bike. So I ask him why? He says it "practice". Well if it is custom or some UCI rule then I do not really give a flying ... about it. If it has some REAL reason then I'd like to know about it.
When I first got bibs I was actually wearing jersey on top of those but pretty soon discovered what happens when the nature calls on a long ride and you urgently have to remove that jersey and it clings to a sweaty skin like crazy.. So those are my "practical reasons" for wearing it this way. As for reaching into back pockets ... Well, my keys, wallet and phone are in a tiny fanny pack so I do not really need those pockets. Almost forgot, I do not shave my legs either.

Guy's a knob for making a disparaging comment to a stranger. If it works for you, go for it. But no one else does it that way, so it is going to look funny to some people. Most won't be rude enough to make comments.

To pee: roll up one leg, whip it out.
it's tough, I know.
And personally, I do it so that a)I can get to my pockets, b) the sponsors that paid good money to have their info on my jersey can actually be seen, c)you don't look like an idiot, and d) you don't look like an idiot.

Also, how long of a ride are you doing to have to do a #2? Thats something that should be taken care of before you set out.
