Forte Components

i think if you've ridden better than forte, forte will suck for you. as for me, i have some forte stuff... a forte axis CF fork on my fg bike, forte clips for the fg as well. my road bike shoes are forte and they rock, not to mention they were only $40. i got a deal on all the forte stuff though because of a friend who gives the hookup at the store. so to tell you the truth i'm not sure i would've spent $100 on a CF axis fork or $100 on forte shoes.

As others have mentioned, aren't the Titans the same as Neuvations? I suspect as others have mentioned that Performance just sources out depending on quality and price. I'm sure some of the Forte stuff can be a real bargain (such as the wheelset)

very decent tape for the price, the only complaint i have is the chemical smell on the tape
beside that you are getting a thick quality tape like most of the other cork tape i use, you just don't get the bling logo, adhesive backing(which i hate)

Pro SLX saddle works well for me. Performance commuter tires have held up very well. 3 years ago, their carbon Forte bottle cages failed after only a few hundred miles. Since then, they seem to have bolstered the design such that a newer pair of carbon cages have worked well. I am seriously considering their new brifters and derailleurs for a budget commuter build in the works. I would love to hear from more folks who have experience with these new components.

State your reasons and/or experience. I cannot vouch for road tires per se, but I can attest to the durability and low rolling resistance of the Forte Versa-Trac. Would not roll anything else on my commuter, and for less than $10 per tire on sale, it cannot be beat.

I had heard that as well and asked the sales rep if they were the M28s and he said that it was his understanding that they were. Another sales guy said he had thought they were made by Alex. Are they a great wheelset, no. But for the price they were a good temp replacement. They now reside on my daughters 93' Trek 1200 that I converted to an 8 speed.

I have the Forte wheelset along with the "lunar light" tubes they have. The wheelset is really nice for the $150 I spent on them. Better and lighter than my stock CAAD9 wheels. The freehub has more friction that I would like, but they are decent. I also own a Forte stem on my mountain bike. It works well and is lightweight. I had it slip on the fork once when I took a fall on my mountain bike, but I think that was either because the impact was pretty hard or it just wasn't tight enough (one of the screws is kind of stripped).
Other Forte products I own
seatpost collar
GT2 700x25 tires
GT2 Kevlar 700x28 tires
Forte tubes (normal ones)
My girlfriend rides on the GT2 25c tires and they work fine. They look like they have worn down quicker than most tires, but they still look good. I use the GT2 Kevlar on my commuter bikes and they are great for the price.

+1 on the Titan wheels for me. They didn't cost much more than the tires I mounted on them, and they've been bulletproof so far. They even look pretty sweet. Hard to beat that.
I've bought a lot of Forte stuff over the years. Tires, handlebars, stems, seatposts, seats, pedals ... and have zero complaints. A lot of it is re-branded stuff from respected manufacturers. Low on the ga-ga factor, though.

their water bottles are nice... say specialized on the bottom.
I have their AL seatpost... It is one large bolt... i have no probs.
The titans were too flexy for me (175 lbs at the time)
been using their standard inner tube for years
Used their spd pedals, creaked after 2 months...
But with their awesome return policy, worth the risk (as long as you dont get hurt)

I know someone with a Forte stem and I can flex that thing an inch (and its pretty short) I was wondering why the steering sucked when I stood up and its the stem flexing like a wet noodle.
