Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Some Fred was trying to hold my TT bike wheel on the MUP today (it was empty mid week as usual, just me and the Fred). I was riding moderate tempo. When I realized he was shadowing me, I put my head down, looked at the Ptap, and dialed it up to 300 watts on the slight upgrade for about a mile. When I looked back again, he was out of sight. That was fun.

Silly Freds.

I knew it would only take 300 watts. Why waste the calories?

Actually the only time most real BFers ever see 400 watts is when they're stalking the 33 threads.

While I understand it's a matter of grave financial concern given its staggering $15 value and all, I'd still advise you to simply buy another.

Hey Pcad,

You disappeared. Did you take a sick day to unravel the mystery of creaky bike?

Are you sure it's not Pcad's joints which are creaky?

The damage had already been done when I posted. I was just like a coroner arriving at the crime scene.

I think this thread is doped...
