Not for nothing, but hearing all those lame Elvis songs gave me a new appreciation for how great Elvis really was, because many of those songs are kind of lame. They were great because Elvis was great. And I'm not a particular Elvis fan, but greatness is self evident, and Elvis defines it in pop music. I don't know what it is, but Elvis had it.
