This afternoon a guy approached a hospital (just a couple hundred yards from one of my common bike routes), shot three people (killing one) then shot himself.

Some people are really disturbed.

I can't believe I posted in this idiotic thread. I never once opened it up until yesterday.

It's wet and cold today. We actually do need the rain (it's been getting dry, in April!) but a lengthy, light rain does not fit with my cycling-related program activities.

Literally. According the police, the suspect went to the hospital searching for the doctor who had performed a surgery on him several years back. A handwritten note reveals that the suspect (who has received treatment for mental problems) believed the doctor had implanted a chip to track his whereabouts.

The suspect appeared to be leaving the area in a taxi. Then he stopped, got out at an entrance, and shot three other people (apparently random), then himself. Five shots fired in five seconds.

I've speced out a bike with some spare components I have lying around and would basically just be buying groupset 6700, wheels and frame. It comes to about £1,600. If I buy the complete bike I can get it for a range in 2k to 2.5k. which would you go for?

Secondly, how sick am I to get another bike just because I have a spare seatpost?

hey what do you think of midgetmaestro's red and white bike at the top of this page? i think red is the best accompaniment to a white frame.

I need important bike schwag hand wringing advice, and figured this was the place to go:

Should I get a TT bike? Felt B14/16 or a Cervelo P1/2? I think the Cervelos test slightly better in the wind tunnel, but the Felt LOOKS more aero, which is (of course) an important factor if I want to impress local riders. Important stuff there.

Isn't the P2 like $1000 more than the Felt ? it looks like 2000 for 16 2500 for 14 the P2 frame is 2k...the cervelo website says starting at 2800, but the cheapest CC build is 3500.
