I still dont understand. you are an in line skater. but, you have an old crappy bike. ( your description) but you also have over 500 posts to a bike forum, mostly foo related. Or you spent way to much time asking pcad anything, to which he did not have any answers for. nw you are on the road cycling forum asking pcad for answers about road bikes in his other aimless thread. I will also note that I too am here in pcads other aimlesss thread ( hangs head in shame). You do know you are already a roadie, you just havent admitted it to yourself , right? Its o.k., admitting you have a problem is the first step towards acceptance ( there is no cure). ( using jedi mind trick) You dont have any need for inline skates, you are looking for a road bike, something with 105 ten speed, or rival perhaps........

Iirc, doesn't foo not give you post counts?

Holly 04-18-10 08:37 AM

Is01, none of my counted posts are foo related ... foo postings aren't tabulated into the count. If you check back far enough you will see that my post count comes from other forums. Some in road bike, some in nutrition and most in the women's forum which doesn't show as part of my profile. I also run and am part of a running forum as well. And why the hell am I explaining this, is beyond me.

Velo Vol 04-18-10 08:42 AM

This thread is no longer about Pcad's over-hyped and overpriced bike.

A moderator should rename it "The Official 41 Twitter Feed" to reflect the general nature of the content and to serve as a direct shot at the 33.

Holly 04-18-10 08:48 AM

^^^ I thought the bike was pretty nice, myself. Whether it is over-hyped or overpriced, I've no idea. :)

heckler 04-18-10 01:47 PM

it is actually a very reasonably priced bike for what you get...the working mans superbike. I would venture that the addict is one of the cheaper bikes raced in the pros

patentcad 04-18-10 02:15 PM

I've had it with this stupid thread. The bike continues to rock however.

patentcad 04-18-10 02:17 PM

I've had it with BF. You'll miss me when I'm gone.

Start a new thread "Old man and his bikes"

What have we done to you?

Velo Vol 04-18-10 02:45 PM

50 miles of velo awesomeness today. I rode with a small group downtown and back. The Dogwood Arts Festival is going on in Market Square.

I'm so fit that I churned out a bonus 15 miles after the ride.

Sunny, upper 60s, and the dogwoods are in full bloom. What more could one ask for?

mzeffex 04-18-10 03:45 PM

I got a free year old 32 inch samsung LCD TV. 1080p, it's pretty sweet. A friend of my family gave it to us. He paid something like $1200 a year ago..

Why not explain it? I never even thought to look at your profile, Doh! I was just goofin off. I knew you had been around for a while actually I read something you wrote about in line skating and drafting a while ago and I couldnt figure out the link between skating and cycling, or better yet why an in line skater was posting on a cycling forum.
I did not know that about foo postings, thats different....... I was just thinking what would pcads post count be if they were counted, YIKES. thats a huge #! Did you start a, new bike question thread yet? I dont recall seeing one. Any candidates yet?

It started out just being about crosstraining, then I got mixed up with Foo, then the "ask pcad anything" thread, then the "ask Holly anything" thread. After a while (about a year) I sort of started backing off and just checking the odd thread, but I haven't left yet. Don't know why ... I guess this whole forum just grew on me. A few days ago a friend sent this link to me after the "merging" in foo of all the "ask" threads ... so I figure, WTH I might as well post a few things here and there. So it goes.

heckler 04-18-10 08:38 PM

stay here holly, we enjoy your company...besides between VV, coasting, and razor it is just like Foo anyway

ravenmore 04-18-10 08:41 PM

nice bike but not worth 101 pages. ;)

Velo Vol 04-18-10 08:50 PM

Someone on another site posted this photo to illustrate how bad the pollen has been here recently. The air is so thick it's been impacting my average speed. ;)

is that unusual? It ends up being like that every year here the timing is all that changes year to year.
