Giants are the best for weight, comfort AND stiffness, hands down.
Someday they'll all realize this.

I don't expect anyone to believe Giant's propoganda, but their assessment of the Scott and Cervelo R3sl is consistent with my experience with the super light frames. It is no surprise the Trek Madone ranked better in comfort and the Scott and R3 Cervelo rate higher in stiffness. If you race, then I may see a benefit, but the Trek and Giant are more forgiving and stiff where it needs to be.

I don't know what it is about Giants that turns me off so much, everybody I know who has the bike absolutely loves it. Sometimes there's not much logic in this sport. Actually, come to think of it, riding a bicycle around to go nowhere makes no sense to begin with, so that does seem a logical inference.

The suspense is killing me. And what will happen if you wind up in basic agreement with sloth?

No, this is part of my evil plan. To get Pcad to hate me more than his addict and therefore get him to keep it to spite me and sing its praises while it slowly destroys his vertebrae and puts him in constant pain.

All this logging in and out between my main account and my alter ego is getting tiresome. Oh, did I just type that and submit it? LOL

Don't you get it?
PCad and everyone else who's ever shelled out more than $3K for a bike learn to overlook its shortcomings an love it nonetheless.
Kind of like a wife.

Yep, I'd say that is generally true. I have spent many a dollars on a bike and have taken a bath on resale cuz I'd rather take the loss than ride something I hate.

Lacking 02-14-10 08:33 PM

I read through the first 7 pages of this stupid thread and all Pcad got was a stupid new bike, and has started a feud with a sloth. I hope they race, Pcad vs. a sloth, It would be a close one.

I would say you have out done yourself but there is much time left in the year to prove me wrong.

nivekdodge 02-14-10 08:36 PM

enough with this arguing.....more pics we like pics.

Next you'll be saying you don't want to be lumped together with sanitation engineers
