You're finding horiz asymtopes in algebra? I only know how to do it with limits and calculus.

You would take the limit of (x+4)/(-3x+12) as x goes to infinity. L'hopital's rule gives you -1/3.

Oh, and what does any of this have to do with road cycling? If I didn't ride my bike every day for the endorphins, my wife and I would have strangled each other in 2007.

Sometimes on BF I feel like the cranky old uncle who lives in a college town and all the freeloader kids come by to drink my beer.

for the next 3 months I can ride 7 days a week whenever I feel like it. Yet I still wake up at 4:50 to do the 6 AM ride. Go figure.

I had dominos tonight. I'm forcing myself to go on a 6 am ride tomorrow. I say that now, but I've been setting my alarm for that for the past month. Everyday I turn it off when it goes off.

Where are you going? And although i have a personal bias towards engineering, I'll point out that a lot of electrical engineering firms seem to hire physics majors, it's probably more broad than some of the more specialized engineerings.
