And hey mike - how do you find horizontal asymptotes?

f(x) = X + 4
________
-3x + 12

Nevermind.

You're finding horiz asymtopes in algebra? I only know how to do it with limits and calculus.

You would take the limit of (x+4)/(-3x+12) as x goes to infinity. L'hopital's rule gives you -1/3.

Mike, if I emailed you an entire year's worth of Calculus and Physics, would you mind getting it back to me in about two weeks? K? Thanks! :D

I friggin love physics. I'm either going to get into engineering or physics. The first seems to have more options.

I have a 98 in physics :D

Sweet! BMC = win.

http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/1Toyuz/worldometers.info/ - this is cool.

mike868y 05-03-10 06:47 PM

heckler: badass bmc, enjoy!
mzeffex: I would like physics if my teacher could teach worth a damn. I am planning on majoring in biophysics.

How I was ever blessed with a happy marriage I'll never know. Maybe it's because I have come to understand that the only person that would ever put up with my crap is also the only person I could ever live with, Mrs. Pcad.

That works.

patentcad 05-03-10 07:20 PM

In the meantime, the other marriages for our collective siblings? On my wife's side two failed. On my side two failures, one success. So besides ours, 4 or 5 siblings' marriages have detonated, some rather spectacularly. The latest unraveling sounds like a bad Lifetime Channel movie (that's the Men Suck Channel).

I'm staying married.

Hey guys, I just finished taking my only and final calculus class on Friday. Can you can the math talk?

kthxbai

patentcad 05-03-10 07:21 PM

Oh, and what does any of this have to do with road cycling? If I didn't ride my bike every day for the endorphins, my wife and I would have strangled each other in 2007.

Sometimes on BF I feel like the cranky old uncle who lives in a college town and all the freeloader kids come by to drink my beer.

for the next 3 months I can ride 7 days a week whenever I feel like it. Yet I still wake up at 4:50 to do the 6 AM ride. Go figure.

I had dominos tonight. I'm forcing myself to go on a 6 am ride tomorrow. I say that now, but I've been setting my alarm for that for the past month. Everyday I turn it off when it goes off.

Where are you going? And although i have a personal bias towards engineering, I'll point out that a lot of electrical engineering firms seem to hire physics majors, it's probably more broad than some of the more specialized engineerings.

Edit: Are you even a senior?

mzeffex 05-03-10 07:40 PM

Junior. Don't know where I'm going.

Velo Vol 05-03-10 07:40 PM

Hey heckler,

How long did it take you to assemble said bicycle?

Good grief, when did this thread turn all soft and mushy?

Maybe I'll bust out with a poem.

mzeffex 05-03-10 07:49 PM

I'll ask here too.

Do junior race registrations (cat 5 is full, but I can still sign up in 14-18) count towards upgrade to cat 4?
