damn Cervelo riders

disclaimer: I'm far from the type that will bash someone for riding a high end bike while not having the power to back it up. I'm pointing out that it's a Cervelo for the obvious reason.

I always thought the design guys at BMC are having a laugh at owners of the SLO-1.

I didn't realize it until someone pointed it out after I got it. Then I embraced it.

If you're trying to get a rise out of me, I ride a Scott now.

I just looked through my phone photos (all 289) that have been taken since august, when I got it.

Here is my life since then:

the couple of guys I know with Scotts are good riders and plenty fast. I hope you live up to my expectations.

rjones28 05-13-10 07:40 PM

Not bad for a half-assed guess. So, who is the other one?

patentcad 05-13-10 07:51 PM

Gotta ride.

Can't ride.

Oh well.

Sunday.

patentcad 05-13-10 07:52 PM

The deck furniture and grill are in place. Looks great. It gets a fresh coat of stain next week. Almost there. We're really going to enjoy it out there this summer.

Life is good.

Despite the Mets. God help me they do suck.

Craig Calfee.

Hey pcad, aren't you going to compliment my awesome photos?

Not bad for a cell phone anyway.

Velo Vol 05-13-10 08:02 PM

There's summer in New York?

Trying to contain my velo awesomeness is as fruitless as using one of these.

patentcad 05-13-10 08:12 PM

Bon Jovi is a nice guy but he sucks as a music star. Why do so many people like his stuff?

I mean go figure.

patentcad 05-13-10 08:16 PM

Not for nothing you bike weenie idiots, but I am living proof that you can achieve Epic BF Fame and Success and still retain the humility that makes you a Beloved BF Legend.

patentcad 05-13-10 08:17 PM

I love me.

Somebody has to.

Doesn't Francisco Rodriguez exit the bullpen to 'Livin' on a Prayer'?

If not, he should.

patentcad 05-13-10 08:19 PM

Eff KRod. The Mets suck.

Eff MLB.

Nostalgia. Pure and simple. Not many of them 80's guys can still sing as well as he does. Not that he could ever really sing, but for that style I mean.

Yeah, ever since that crash Sunday, I've been walking towards this blinding white light. And I keep getting BF PMs that say 'Go to the Light Pcad'.

What does that mean?

heckler 05-13-10 08:29 PM

wow, did I look that young when I was a teenager? Damn I look like a creepy dude now.

patentcad 05-13-10 08:30 PM

Oh by the way, I get an email from the guy who caused the crash Sunday. Something about hitting some dip in the road and losing control of his bicycle. Let Uncle Pcad boil the bullshlit away for you: I wound up behind the wrong idiot on the Nyack Ride and I paid the price.

Hey, he got hurt worse than me. Perhaps there is justice in that, but it's small comfort. I'd rather this whole stupid incident had not transpired. No hard feelings of course, shlit happens in cycling, particularly in racing or fast group rides. I told him not to feel bad, if a seasoned pro like Jens Voigt can lose control of his bike on a straight smooth descent, it can happen to any of us. And so it can.

In other news gsteinb had his collarbone operation today. Hope he's OK.
