disclaimer: I'm far from the type that will bash someone for riding a high end bike while not having the power to back it up. I'm pointing out that it's a Cervelo for the obvious reason.

I didn't realize it until someone pointed it out after I got it. Then I embraced it.

The deck furniture and grill are in place. Looks great. It gets a fresh coat of stain next week. Almost there. We're really going to enjoy it out there this summer.

Nostalgia. Pure and simple. Not many of them 80's guys can still sing as well as he does. Not that he could ever really sing, but for that style I mean.

Finally seeing the light?

Yeah, ever since that crash Sunday, I've been walking towards this blinding white light. And I keep getting BF PMs that say 'Go to the Light Pcad'.

What does that mean?

wow, did I look that young when I was a teenager? Damn I look like a creepy dude now.

Oh by the way, I get an email from the guy who caused the crash Sunday. Something about hitting some dip in the road and losing control of his bicycle. Let Uncle Pcad boil the bullshlit away for you: I wound up behind the wrong idiot on the Nyack Ride and I paid the price.

Hey, he got hurt worse than me. Perhaps there is justice in that, but it's small comfort. I'd rather this whole stupid incident had not transpired. No hard feelings of course, shlit happens in cycling, particularly in racing or fast group rides. I told him not to feel bad, if a seasoned pro like Jens Voigt can lose control of his bike on a straight smooth descent, it can happen to any of us. And so it can.

In other news gsteinb had his collarbone operation today. Hope he's OK.
