Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It is so unbearably hot tonight, I've been reduced to lying here naked drinking ice tea. When the tea has to be cold, it is hot. I don't take that decision lightly.

Call Razor up on the party line and get him to tell you about his escapades of -20F cycling.

We toured an American attack submarine today. The coolest part? The cockpit where they steer the boat actually has a big cup holder right in between the seats. I told them a German sub would never have a cup holder.

I just looked. 38 C would be record temperatures, or very close to record temperatures, for you. You're still incorrect.

It was a nice 80F today and I rode the TT bike on the stupid trainer (it teaches stupid) because I couldn't get out of work soon enough to get a ride in.

That's the most descriptive picture of a news anchor that I've seen in a while.

How King has remained in prime time this past decade is a mystery to me. But given how the CNN management has run the network off the ratings cliff, I guess it's not all that surprising.

Haha, everyone will think that you stole it then. I had a shop install the chain while I was packing to move, and they botched the install. The shop here just took the link out and adjusted the RD so I couldn't shift into the biggest ring for free. The easiest gear is a 40x32. I don't think I'll be needing that anytime soon. The grocery store is a mile away and it's flat all the way there.

I'm looking forward to the car-free life.

Razor,

Your lowest temperatures for the entire month

December 09 0F
January 10 -5F
February 10 1F

So yeah, it looks like you had plenty of -20F days there.

I can only take this stupid monkey house when I have endorphins in my system and I didn't ride today.

Plus I'm too busy for this idiot thread.

That is all.
