So today I did the Nyack Ride. I deployed every ounce of Top Secret Pcad Skunkworks Velo Technology (A Cervelo S2 with D.A. 7900 and Zipp 404 tubies) and ventured forth. There was the typical Cat 1/2 Festival a minute or two up the road and the rest of the Nyack Idiots chasing. The break succeeded, but I did hang with the chase group and even beat half those mopes up the 200 meter hill sprint @ the end.
How humiliating for all of them.
The ride was notably easier with the Zipp 404 tubies, I got shelled near the last week with non aero clincher rims.
Also, that S2/404 setup is so aero I had to hit the brakes on the one 40 mph descent to avoid rear ending the guys in front of me going down the hill. Man that bike rolls fast. I've noticed that time and again. That S2 aero wheel combo does help when you're trying to ride with faster guys, i.e. for me, anybody else on the planet with USA Cycling license.

This is the difference between this forum and weightweenies or RBR. There, you talk shop, here is more like high school. Makes it more humorous so I don't know why some of you guys feign anger about negative reactions to Pcad's insanity when it is the exact dynamic he wishes to cultivate and you guys enjoy witnessing. It is one big hot F$#$#$#$ mess if you ask me.

I'm going to take the rest of this year off of BF, and if/when I return this thread still exists, I will never ride a bike again.
