Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's not directed towards you, but just anyone. I don't know if it was stolen to sell or to ride, but I've heard that people who steal in DC sell in Baltimore and vice versa.

A friend of mine lost a Madone out of the back of his car in Baltimore earlier this year. Watched Craigslist's in DC, Balto, and Philly... never saw it again. Sucked since he got a heck of a deal on it and couldn't afford to replace it on a teacher's salary.

Good luck to your friend.

You know, kids these days have names for stuff we didn't even know to think up when I was a kid. There were like 5 slang terms, and if a guy managed to handle 2 before he left school, he was doing well.

It's already more than 48 hours. He filed a police report anyway.

Have one other guy, we need two more and don't want to do the two person team. It is his birthday weekend, would be a cool 18th huh.

Dude, time to kiss it goodbye. If by some very unlikely chance it pops up, let that be a surprise, don't expect it.

I think they may have stolen it to ride, probably local. Why? Because he was being watched - hid it in a bush when he ran into the store to grab a drink. When he came back out it was switched with a huffy. Sounds like a local who wanted a better ride. It was in a not violent, but low income, area.

I have a spare carbon full suspension trek you could use if you want in. Not kidding.
