Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Outside of BF I run into the guy like once a year so it's really not necessary.

There's nothing remotely funny about gsteinb. Well, OK, maybe his claim about being 'retired'.

The ironic thing is that if I posted anything as remotely inflammatory or personal to pcad he'd be pulling his sponsorship and whining about how mean I am to him. Personally I find it sad that a guy who I know in real life has such animosity distrubing. Anyway, he wins. I'm out of here.

are we arguing about who is richer than whom? I haven't seen one of those arguments since I was 7. My daddy is so rich...

The 41 is rich. I've discovered what should be a new rule for this thread. We should sticky it to the top of the page:

Gsteinb may be a complete idiot, but he has nothing on Cablevision. So he has that going for him.

I just got in touch with Cablevision corporate. Told them it would be a better idea if they started being transparent and open about their mini-crisis. The woman said mine was the the 10th phone call to that effect this AM and she thought his sentiment would get some traction @ headquarters. Start by posting a notice on the website and telling the news media they have a problem and they're working on it.

This corporate stonewalling is getting old. It's like the Cheney Doctrine. Never ends well.

pcad is perhaps one of the few people who can turn their disdain for cablevision into a flame war on a cycling board. well done.

Fios is flat out faster than cable, and I haven't had an outage since I signed up in January.
