You two post a lot alike.. Hmmmm.

I have food poisoning. All cycling events cancelled today.

Pcad - did you ride after your non century?

Rocket Ride. They were absolutely hammering in the 90º heat trying to soften up Uncle Pcad for the mid-ride Col du Blue Hill Plaza climb. They succeeded. Still, I managed to hang on to the second group over the top of the Col, and we chased and chased and caught the lead bunch @ Rt. 59 in Nanuet. My riding pal Rick was peeling off to head over to Nyack on 59, so I eschewed the inevitable death march up Middletown Road (I was toast) and headed back with him. 40 miles, good workout. I'm thinner. Next week I'll go to the end.

350 miles this week.

The Cubs' rookies are playing well at the top of the order. Sweep against the Cards tonight? The future is bright.

Maybe next year.

But Cubs fans have been saying that for 100 years.

Mets fans for 24 years.

What's your point?

sbxx1985 07-25-10 02:32 PM

Sadly, the Cubs suck.

patentcad 07-25-10 03:09 PM

The Mets suck even harder.

sbxx1985 07-25-10 03:15 PM

Tune into ESPN tonight for some skillful, yet exciting baseball action.

patentcad 07-25-10 03:16 PM

ESPN is the trash bin of sports. Between that unspeakable ahole Kornheiser and that pathetic L. James extravaganza, I am done with them.

Ziltoid 07-25-10 03:19 PM

You don't enjoy watching your semblable?

pcad so awesome

Actually, I suck even more than the Mets. Happily, I am not paid to do my sport.

That was a lot of pcad photos in one post. Scary.

A little more Pcad Inspiration. A favorite quote of mine:

Never give up. And never, under any circumstances, face the facts.

We're all fat, let's not face it.

I'm down too! Not food poisoning though.

I've spent part of the afternoon convalescing in front of the TV. NBC proved there is indeed a sport dumber than road cycling by showing some BMX event. I liked the guy 31-year-old guy they interviewed who said that "age is just a number." He could barely utter a complete sentence.

Too many knocks to the cranium, methinks.

I wish I could get food poisoning again...just a short bout. It is a great way of losing weight.

Easy for you to say.

Herbie53 07-25-10 05:31 PM

Winds hit 58knots just as we were getting off the water on the ACats today. I didn't quite make it in before the biggest wind came. The boat lifted out of the water and achieved an altitude of about 35 feet (inverted without the mast touching water). I bailed out at about 10 feet off the deck and swam in. I need another carbon mast. Maybe I'm getting to old for this... but, who isn't.

My FB update on the days catamaran sailing. Possibly the only sport more stupid than cycling. Spend stupid amounts on an all carbon boat and then watch helplessly as it cartwheels itself into oblivion.

mzeffex 07-25-10 05:40 PM

What do you mean the boat lifted 35 feet out of the water? It jumped?

Ziltoid gets it, which is surprising, given his unfathomably remote location and all.

patentcad 07-25-10 05:55 PM

I'm trying to wrap my head around the fitness required to finish the Tour de France within the time cutoff, but it's beyond my limited 41understanding. Maybe those 33 geniuses could help us with this.

without me on it the boat weighs only 165# (carbon). The mast is 33 feet tall and missed the water entirely on the first flip. Second flip shattered it. It was a nearly new mast.. now I need another, or perhaps I should just cash out and buy a Cervelo.

That's ridiculously light. A whole boat weighs 165? I should get one of those. Were you on it when it flipped the first time? I see you say you bailed at about 10 feet off the deck, meaning when it was 10 feet up you jumped?

That's crazy.

Also, if you don't mind, what does a carbon mast cost?
