Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My pedals are off.

Ditto, though I still look back fondly on the days when I had free-time!

I think it's time for my bottle holder poll.

So LBS only sells Zipp bottle holders and the really cheap metal ones. Now i have to order some from the interwebz....

Just got into this sport - already starting to whine about having to take 'rest days' when I can barely walk... Having secret fantasies about being cut in hours from full time so I can ride more... Who needs money?

I went on a hard ride Sunday, and all day Monday I felt like I was hit by a bus. Today I feel great. Years ago the time spent feeling like I was hit by a bus after a challenging ride were measured in days. That's why I ride, so the time spent feeling like I was hit by a bus after a hard ride is shortened.

Sack of potatoes to Superman. Yep, you're addicted. Might as well be injecting meth in your veins.

It does happen, regionally. But mostly in the 33, where they celebrate competition and rivalry.

But not on a hill--dude weighs like 130.
