Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It now shows 99*F on the thermometer, with a prediction of 103 as a high a bit later. That's up from a prediction of 101 as a high a day or two ago. It was only up to 90 by the time I was off the bike today though. Not bad.

Supposed to be a high of only 91 on Monday though, which will feel like we are in the middle of a damn cold spell after this heat.

You're riding to the coast? I've never done that. Of course it's like 400 miles away, which is a problem.

I just had the great idea to go to performance and buy a roller. Then I realized that was dumb.

yeah they normally come in a set so you can ride on them. A single roller would be pretty pointless.

I ride Toupe 143 saddles. All these bikes come with these horrible house brand or Fizik saddles. I sell them on eBay.

I look rail thin in street clothes but still look fat in bike clothes.

It's a cruel sport.

I thought it just came with slightly different colored accents and matching white handle bar wrap, S-Wrap...

But it does seem a little narrower up front, has a lighter weight too. Same hollow Ti-Rails, and maybe a little less padding too. At least from the listed features on Specialized's site...
