Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

According to the 33 the Bear Mtn. Road Race is the Tour de France. Take it from where it comes.

Yes, haha. Only gives you 15 feet of vision. I let cars behind me pass since I was not going 45 on those roads.

You should hop in the car with me.... I have one speed. Fast.

It was a 45 zone, but I don't like going into dark and hoping I stay out of someone's living room.

Did you ever turn your highs on? It was weird for me at first, but since I live out in moo-ville, one really appreciates the light those headlights can produce.

I love my country roads. They take me home. To the place. I belong.

Why would you ruin lobster with mac and cheese?

Tell your mom to not drink so much.

Hit 48mph on a 4 mile, mostly straight descent yesterday. The good part about that is you don't get passed by anyone. FYI, 48 doesn't feel much different than 38.

I had a regular lobster the other day, this was good. She didn't drink, she was having eye issues. Not that I did much better haha. Look who's critical tonight.

Hey pCad, now that you have given racing, and the 33 in doing so the middle finger, are you going to go through a stage of depression?

So I'm on the NY Thruway on my motorcycle the other day, I-87, just north of Suffern, coming back from NY City at about 1PM. I'm in the right lane, and I'm enjoying the scenery, doing about 65-70 mph, when suddenly, there's an SUV passing me on the right in the same lane I'm riding in. That's never happened to me before. I was astonished. I had drifted a bit to the outside of the lane, but come on, I was IN that right lane.

I accelerated and caught up with this utter ahole and gave him a wtf look. I got no response.

For the rest of the trip I hammered up the left lane @ 85 mph+. I figured it was safer.

Some of these people really need to be off the friggin road. Seriously.

Hey pcad, do you realize that some day, when you are riding around and you are 80 something, that people will talk about you? That's that pCad guy, should have seen him ride when he was 50..... He could play both sides, posted like hell too.

This thread bears striking resemblance to your facebook.

Some moron in an SUV passed me in the right lane on 87 today. The only problem was I was also in the same lane as him at the time going 70 mph. I learned my lesson. I did the rest of the ride in the left lane @ 85+.
Just sayin'
