Velo Vol 07-30-10 02:20 PM

I didn't go to the dentist for a long period like that until I went a couple years ago.

I should probably go again. :(

i had a valid reason to be scared of the dentist. i had major dental surgery and never got over the fear. until today. i couldn't believe it. not one bit of treatment needed. the moral of the story is don't eat sweet sugary things. i've never had a sweet tooth.

by the way, take up skipping. i tried my skipping rope earlier on after dinner and nearly threw up. it is seriously good cardio work out and as soon as the food is digested i'm going to do a good session of skipping. i think it might be better to do this in the winter than riding the trainer.

So now all I need for the cross build are:

Derailleurs
Brakes
Pedals
Crank
Frame (which includes seatpost, fork, and headset.)
Bar tape
Cables

Have:
Bars
Stem
Shifters (7700)
SRAM GXP ceramic BB
Ultegra 9s cassette
SRAM pg-951 chain
michelin mud 2 tires
CXP 22 rims laced to formula hubs
Specialized Toupe

This build will be awesome.

Who wants to make donations to the Mzeffex cyclocross racing fund?! :D

Not class you kids. Rope.

Just so you know, there's no Pcad Sex Tape, so don't get your hopes up.

My life can't be complete now.

mzeffex 07-30-10 05:41 PM

Going to performance tomorrow to pick up a 6700 rd. Cheaper than cost!

It seems odd you would just bring that up. What are you hiding?

He clearly just found it, and either destroyed, hid it in a secret place, or put it on ebay.

Skipping is awesome ... sometimes I'll use that as a warmup before either cycling or skating. I agree it is definitely a serious cardio workout. I find it a lot harder than jogging.

Some of us get plenty of cardiovascular exercise cycling.

Apparently some of us don't.

Herbie53 07-30-10 07:23 PM

Riding with the bunch again tomorrow. They go slightly easier on Saturdays, but a good bit longer. 60ish miles.

How about some guesses where they pop me? I've become a bit of a realist.

Now tell the truth, you just won the auction for it. :P

Hey Pcad and/or mzeffex, how do you like your toupe saddle? I need a new saddle and just picked up a used toupe 130 from a forum member.

Fort Totten.

Tulex 07-30-10 07:31 PM

Just got back from Letchworth today. My toupe was in the mailbox. I could have saved a lot of money and must mounted a 2X4 to the post.

Actually, for how hard it is compared to my avatar gel, it felt pretty good. I feel like I'm more connected to the bike if that makes sense. I did notice that with the avatar, you could sit anywhere on it, but on the toupe, you gotta find the right spot.

Herbie53 07-30-10 07:35 PM

I likey the Toupe (143). For me it puts more pressure on my arse bones and almost none on the taint. Perfect.
