Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm pretty easy-going. But, as one of the Mods says, "if you see something, say something." So, hit the Black Triangle if you think things are getting too out of hand.

I saw his post to the Twitter Feed before it was deleted. It was actually pretty innocuous. So, I guess it was a preemptive strike.

Just saying "The guys in the addiction thread told me to come over here" smacked of trolling. No good could have came out of that. Personally, I wouldn't have reported it, it would have been more fun to just ignore him and let him wither away. As far as inclusiveness, plenty of non-racers have come over and been welcomed just fine. The key: don't be an idiot.

I think you need a finer filter.

And how is it possible to troll in a thread that basically started with someone saying they needed to take a dump?

It's a group of people having a conversation. Or actually several conversations at the same time, like groups in a room at a party. You troll it by crashing in and being obnoxious.

This is not an attainable end for some, I hesitate to say.

I have, I'm just being my usual impatient self.

/\ The Specialized LBS doesn't carry it in-store.

Oh God, I can't believe I suggested that. UPS is probably sending me a letter bomb as we speak.

"teammate". What sort of team?

I wish we had groups or teams here to ride with.

actually, it said 'I feel like ****'

again, you make stuff up and pass it off as fact.

you're a troll and behave in the same way as the people you complain about

Um... bike racing team

I would be extremely surprised if there were no teams anywhere around you, unless you live in the middle of nowhere. Even then, teams here often include people from maybe a roughly 100 mile radius.
