Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If one has ever gone into the Craigslist Bike Forums section, they would realize how much this thread is starting to resemble that. The addition of Razor and this Top Gear fool have just about sealed its fate.

A shame. As someone said, this is sort of the Twitter feed of the 41.

I've got an all white arione. I haven't ridden it yet. my current saddle has tape all over the back end, the leather is ripping off the front end, generally dying. I'll be sad when it is gone.

if you ride a comfortable saddle, how long would you keep it?

I think the modern version tha looks like the same shape as my nearly 20 year old saddle is a san marco rolls so if the arione doesn't work, the rolls will be the one to get.

Is this a trick question?

Answer - until it's not longer comfortable?

AH! I hope they last a LONG time, because I happen to love my saddle. And I wouldn't know what to get to replace it.

Trying to find a good saddle to me seems like a lot of work. A lot of trial and error and returning saddles to the LBS, etc. etc.

It makes me think that if I ever find one that I love, I might buy a second. Saddles seem to get hurt in crashes.
