Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

After everything you saw of him, you thought he would be smart?

funny thing happens to me. Every time I go out for a ride, I tell myself, "Just go slow and don't worry about avg mph.". Every time, I start seeing the avg mph get slower, I can't help but try to raise it up to a minimum I've set in my mind.

I love going on bike rides with my wife and son because I don't have to worry about mph. I can relax and just "ride".

The guy was being annoying, but he was not coming across to me as stupid. He was fast and clever at times.

Just thinking of that gives me chills... <--- to myself.

I have to log everything... I'm OCD about it. Distance, time, speed, avg mph, temperature, etc. etc.

Still you told him to do it, you can't be too surprised that he actually did.

HA HA! I saw that... I dipped my toes in there once. It wasn't too bad, but I really have to be in the right mood for that sort of action.

I have to agree: sending TopGear to the 33 was akin to trolling. And yet I stood by and didn't stop it, because I wanted to see a train wreck.

i think you might get the wrong impression from the ham-fisted velo vol incompetence. The rest of us do wrench. The velo dumb is plenty to spread around to smear all of us though.

I'm sure you can see how that raised some hackles though?

I'm not entering this debate so there's no real need for rationalization.

Whatever, dude.

I keep honing my skills and soon I'll be able to replace a front tube in 20 minutes flat.
