"A Cervelo S2, a Park Tool floor pump, some sorta fancy pants sport bike... you're clearly a woman of means and taste. "

Hey guys. TopGear here. I made this account just to say...
I use this electric pump I bought from Costco. Works like a charm, although it is quite loud.
I can pump my tires in seconds using it, and best of all, it's effortless.
Back to lurking now.

That's okay. I only made this account for that one post.
And I'm banned on my other account...or something. Lol.
Costco is good. And I should have named this account two posts.
If this account gets banned too, than I don't care.

I love cars... but you know what I love even more? Not needing one. Not having one. Not paying for one. Not paying for insurance for one (my zip code is one of the worst in the country, in terms of car insurance rates). My car, if I really need one, is a ZipCar account. Otherwise it's the feet, the bike, the subway or the cab.
It's this ride with ABRT. The guy with the 6 is my limey friend Dave. My camera is on the my bike recording only my gasping. The wall is a short (~0.3mile) 15ish% climb (drops off to a false flat) that comes at around mile 40 (doesn't look very dramatic it the video, but you can hear me gasping and Dave's bike starts creaking). It's after having done two longer fast climbs up to Fairhaven and then up Lietch Road... I was pre-baked.
Saturday Ride
Time: 9am (summer), 10 am (winter)
The Saturday ride is just shy of 60 miles and travels to south county, mostly on back roads, through North Beach and back with a stop at the Dash-In at the corner of Old Solomon's Island Rd and MD 260. The pace is anywhere from 18-21 mph (2:45 to 3:15 pedalling time). The first half of the ride usually stays together for the most part or regroups at the Dash-In and very often on the second half the ride will split into various groups.

jen the pump looks fine and probably works fine you may just not be strong enough to pump it. My wife can't get here tires past 70 or so. Take it with you tomorrow for your practice and have someone help you to confirm it works, but you might just need to bulk up
.
(you could try to find a better pump for your needs. the tube diameter (and height) is larger and smaller between different pumps. The more volume per pump the more force is required. So while I may like a short fat pump because I can fill up a tube in 8 pumps if the force required for the last 2 pumps are more force than you can exert (your entire weight) it won't help you. Since most pumps are the same(ish) height the ones with the smaller inner chambers are easier to pump, you just need to pump them more times.) This is also why pocket pumps take forever, because to make them require a reasonable force to get to high pressure the chamber diameter is tiny.
What pump did you use before and why not just use that? If your previous one didn't have a gauge you may actually be ok down at 60 psi for your weight. Try it on your elle and see what the new pump says
