Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Not anymore. You regular guys do a good job keeping your head above the fray and avoiding the silly mess. I commend you on your maturity and determination to keep this place a fun place to hang out. Thank you for doing your part, and keep it up.

Who got hurt? It didn't seem as if anyone here was. And I thought they had thicker skin in the 33.

Perhaps it's tiresome, but is that a reason to "overwhelm" the moderators with complaints?

Please.

Oh, I don't know. That's just something we used say around my house for when the fun got out of hand and one of the kids came running to mom or dad crying.

Nice. I like that.

I have 3 dogs, 2 cats. I've got 4 more in little boxes. Both cats were rescues, 2 of my dogs are. One was beaten as a puppy. I don't know how someone could do that to such a sweet dog. I believe in Karma, I hope I'm right.

Somehow I could tell you were a dog person. I only have one but he's a rescue too.

Here's a quick and dirty shot of my new CR1 SL. The lens distortion makes the bar angle look weird but they're not tipped up. I swapped in a 3T cockpit and upgraded to carbon bars for next to nothing. I'm using the clips while I wait for my shoes to arrive which will then click into some Look Keos.

Correct. 64 miles today, 6000 vertical feet of climbing. Came over the ridge for the last time at high noon on a 95 degree Greek day. Only mad dogs, Englishmen and Pcad go out in the Greek noonday sun. I was going to go 70 miles, took the short way home, it was one of those days where too many body parts were hurting and the last 6 miles would have felt like 60. Not worth it.

By the time I leave this friggin place I'll be skinnier than a Kakaparato lizard.

It is far too stupid to be silly. It is quintessential BF.

Stick that in your pipe.
That's how much vertical I got here on Evia in 64 miles. It's hilly here. Bigger hills than Chester. More lizards.

That little Park pump works pretty good. Light, compact. That's the one I brought to Greece in the bike bag. I like it.

Yes, the strike ended about a week ago. But it is almost $8/gallon here. Fortunately we're not driving anywhere for the most part. Lots of miles on the Addict, which is good on gas.

I think it's an old person thing. Up at at like 4AM, in bed before 7PM.
I rolled out at 8AM this morning. We don't eat dinner here until 10-11PM, we don't get to bed until 1-2AM, so it's hard for me to roll earlier. Gotta try tomorrow, didn't get back until 1PM today, it gets very hot here by 10AM.
