Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That happens too with these new fangled 'fibre carbone' frames I hear.

WR is on my ignore list but I'm going to assume that this is about the used Trek that he wants the manufacturer to replace, correct? This will be 10 pages of moronic nonsense easy.

Or become a good enough rider that someone will pay for your stuff and give you a salary. Or get into the bike business so you can buy new stuff at prices lower than what people buy used stuff for.

Life is not this hard folks.

Warranty coverage does not include racing or secondary ownership. It's called "assumption of risk."
I believe that the frame was Trek's top of the line. I don't believe anyone was expecting it to last forever; however, at least 5 years is a reasonable expectation. As for assumption of risk, are you assuming that all stated manufacturer's warranties or guarantees have always been appropriate?
