Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I would really love to see some pictures of road bikes using Nitto Technomics tall stem to raise up handlebars.

I have a Cinelli 130 mm stem and I need something taller and with less reach, so I was thinking about a 50mm reach Technomics stem with my Cinelli bars or something even taller and more swept back. At 52 I don't want to lean that far over.

You probably need to take this to C&V. Not many quill stem users in here.

I can't recommend going from a 130mm stem to a 50mm one. Some think a huge jump in length is a good jump. Not so. Remember... as your bars go up higher, they will move towards you. I recommend finding a shop that allows you to swap stem and try some out. Start with a 110 or 100mm one, fine tune from there.

Look at this online tool for stem fit . https://alex.phred.org/stemchart/Default.aspx you get an idea of what changing the stem will look like. Fit though, has to be done in reality
