2012 CAAD10 4's can be had for $1799 (U.S). That is how much I paid for mine. I would imagine the 5 would be in the neighborhood of a hundred or so less. Cannondale's msrp is $1600.

I think I decided on a CAAD10 5 or maybe 4 for my next bike.
What would be the best price I can get on one of these? I am going to start going around to bike shops in my area and see what deals they have. Not sure what price is considered good though. Thanks. |

How do you set up your stem and why? I thought it might be interesting to hear this from some CAAD peeps.
As for me, I slam my stem. I like to have an aggressive position. It rotates my hips forward and gives me better power transfer to the pedals. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=230945 |

Thanks guys for the pricing help!
Any links to 2011 CAAD10 4 and 5 color schemes? Also any weight difference between the 2011 and 2012? [edit] Also what would be considered a good price on a slightly used (less than 300 miles) 2010 CAAD9-5, he wants $850. Thanks again. |
Here are the two color schemes for the 2011 10-4.
As for the weight: shouldn't be any appreciable idfference. Here is a link to Nytro, they still have new 2011's. You can check out the specs: http://www.nytro.com/index.cfm/product/?ProductID=5930 Not to sure about the used prices. Try checking ebay and craigs list. http://www.nytro.com/prodimages/5525-WHTBLU-L.jpg http://www.cyclesports.com/shop/imag...04%20Rival.png

Does the weather suck in the winter where you live? Plus, a lot of shops will throw in heavy discounts on things like pedals, shoes, and other accessories if you're buying a bike. Make sure you test ride a couple of other bikes in the same price range, which will show you what a good deal the CAAD is in the grand scheme of things. |
Got my 10-4 for $1200…its good to know people ;)
|
Wow.
I didn't expect CAAD10s to drop in value that quick. They are actually even cheaper now than CAAD9's were. I guess it must be the substantial savings in labor costs. http://s.thumbs.canstockphoto.com/canstock5175120.jpg |

You might like it more. Granted, it's about 50% more than the CAAD9, but, you'll be happier if you prefer it. Good luck in your hunt! :thumb: |

Where is my Darn POP Corn!
|
I found a few for $1,499.
That Force crankset looks PERFECT on with that black/white theme. The only thing the '12 has on the '11 IMO is the "Raw" Option. I'd say the 2011 would be preferable to the 2012 with the '12 going Rival (S500?) for the crank. :D |

Yeah I am in MA just north of boston so we have bad winters but it's been 50's 60's so far. Not helping with prices I am sure, plus I would really like to start the snowboard season. lol It will get bad soon though. I would love to get a -5 for around $1100. After xmas I will start going around to the LBS's.

BEST deals then. |
Good advice! I think I will just do some test riding to see what CAAD I like, before the snow comes. Also to figure out what size frame I should go with.
Still confused on what size would be good for me. The cc fit calculator puts me at this. The Competitive Fit (cm) ------------------------------------------- Seat tube range c-c: 52.6 - 53.1 Seat tube range c-t: 54.3 - 54.8 Top tube length: 53.8 - 54.2 The 54 with a 54.5 TT is a tad too big and the 52 with a 53.5 TT is a tad too small. I am 5'8" 150 lbs with a 32 measured inseam. I won't be riding long distances, mostly shorter sprint interval type training. That said, once a week I will probably go for a long ride. I am thinking the 52 would be the right size for me, but really not sure. Any advice is appreciated. Anyone about my size, what do you ride? |
