It's a little older than that... :D :p

If your in a crash that involves the bike sliding across the asphault...nothing is really going to fare well against that. I've seen chainstays and seatstays grinded almost all the way through. I trip out when I see crashed bikes and on the amount of damage done. Would you honestly want to get back on a carbon bike after a bad crash?

A villagers bike? That would be one heck of a souvenir!

Yeah, you make a good point. I'm thinking more now about just going with the CAAD10 frame and splurging on components and wheels.

They look correct to me according to current practice. Start at the ends, wrap the tops so that they go over the top toward the front... that's how I wrap my bars anyway.

How are those wheels? I saw them on ebay and considered picking up a set. Went with Planet X tubulars but I'd like to upgrade the wheels on my other bike as well...

Are these ones painted or polished?

Brushed then clear coated. My 8 was that when I got it.. I personally hate it, I also think it's a visibility issue against a greay road.

I Painted mine I disliked it so much. I gave it a white frame and some Hot Pink accents.

Thanks. That's a funky paint job. Did you have any trouble getting the decals?
I don't mind the brushed alu. In fact, it's one of the few silver bikes I like :D

Nope, I cut my own.

IndependentMind 11-28-11 11:01 AM

Speaking of which, the same frame is up for sale on ebay.

Posted as a 2006 CAAD8 with BB30 (I thought BB30 came in more recently?)

I love this part: "It's listed as a 60cm, but it's actually a 59, or a 58.5", then WHY DONT YOU LIST IT AS SUCH? From one post, it's lost 1.5 cm's in length". I cant imagine ebay wont allow him to list it @ either 58.5 or 59cm? God, i hate stupid **** like that. Just be HONEST

Are you new to bikes? That's the manufacturer's assigned number/"size". That seller is giving more info than necessary to clear up the confusing system instituted by the manufacturer. He/she is being more honest than most.

Does anybody know which 2012 CAAD 10 finishes are available as a frameset only? Also, frameset MSRP?
