I think it was a Giant dog

ussprinceton 12-15-11 08:54 PM

...next time, I'll bring a camera to take some pictures of where the dog lives, just for $#!+s and giggles...I don't know how close I can get to the dog itself though,...the zoom feature on my camera might not be good enough...we'll see..

2ndGen, I just wanted to let you know that

a) I could stare at a CAAD9 in BBQ ALL DAY LONG. Omfg, they're so hot

b) I need one right about now. If I lived anywhere near CT, I'd probably pull the trigger on this right now. Or even better, lived anywhere near NY. >.< Is yours a 56cm? My inseam's 31.5" and my height is 5'11" (all that I can provide right now). I'm thinking a 56cm frame would be ideal?

Obsessed, and I don't even own one. : \

The CAAD9-7 would be ideal, but if you can get that CAAD9-4 for $1,000./shipped,
I'd jump on that one. Great group as is (Rival w/BB30 Force Crank).
I believe they are 17lbs stock. IMO, it's worth it.

If you wait, you may be able to find another example for less,
or it may be a long time before another 56cm BBQ CAAD9 comes along.
I was broke when I got mine, but I had to get it. It was way worth it for me.

And yes; mine is a 56cm. I have about the same inseam as you.

My first build. 2007 CAAD9 frame with just about every significant comp picked up either either lightly used, late model, discounted, or already in my drawer! Just waiting on bar tape...pedals and cages would probably be helpful too.

I intended it to be a winter project, but I just got too impatient!

Of course, I had to dress her up in nice shoes for the photo shoot...:D

Velo_Tut 12-16-11 10:34 AM

^^^ I like that color blue. Looks like white pedals would go perfectly with that build too.

That is sick! It actually looks like it's the same color as the '09 caad9 I'm trying to build up right now, except mine has silver letters and doesn't have the white painted sections. I actually like your frame graphics better! Super clean, but not too boring.

Just back from riding today and got to looking at my bike and noticed that in the black letters there is blue and green pearl. I never noticed it before but in the sunlight you can see it. I was hoping that it would show up in a picture but if you look in the corner of the N you might be able to see it. I just thought that was kinda neat.

freedomrider1 12-16-11 03:50 PM

yup, i saw it. My smoke gray synapse as those in the paint.

I'm colorblind. I still can't tell if the graphics on my BBQ CAAD9 are gold or silver.

From your pictures above they appear to be silver

Very nice looking ride!

I live in Indiana. Our bike club encourages calling the police/sheriff to report unrestrained dogs chasing bicyclists. After two warnings, the authorities will take away the dog the third time.

I had to go by the same road where the bad dog lived on my way home...my only defense is to pedal as fast as I could, or give the dog a kick if all else fails...this time around, the dog was inside its fenced yard...what a relief

Specialized All Conditions Armadillo Elite

Just replaced them on my 2008 Sirrus Pro. NEVER had a flat. 6352 miles and they STILL had some life left. But, they are very heavy tires and they do not roll very well either.

How did you get your bike to stand up like that, is it magic? Thats real nice I like:thumb:

freedomrider1 12-17-11 05:20 PM

I thought that blue thing over the rear tire was a rack at first. great looking bike.

0100 12-18-11 12:49 AM

I think I decided on a CAAD10 5 or maybe 4 for my next bike.

What would be the best price I can get on one of these? I am going to start going around to bike shops in my area and see what deals they have. Not sure what price is considered good though.

Thanks.
